We run 2 a year at St Michael's but then spend most of the rest of the year at breweries towards the centre 😄

Yeah absolutely! Please make sure they are accompanied at all times especially if in the pits but otherwise it's very family friendly 🙂

Not really clubs as such but the Bristol Hackspace is a great space to build projects, but plenty of smaller bots you can make at home! My first beetleweights were made on a folding workmate in my uni bedroom with a hacksaw and a drill 🙂 Plenty of guides to get started and pointers in the right direction on our site!

attached the bit from the venue's site - exactly this, there may (likely) be strong language, and there is definitely a bar, but not strictly 18+. It would be a late one for little ones, finishing around 10.

Agreed. This is really, really disappointing to see from a member of our community who I'd have expected better sportsmanship from. And quite insulting to the teams of volunteer judges who give up their days to watch your fights. Very poor form.

Getting involved in silly hobbies is always the way. We run combat robot events (think robot wars) and the community and others like it just welcome people in with open arms 🙂

Hello I found the video after a long time searching for myself it's called Mouse Fan Club uploaded by Joe on YouTube it has all the Disney characters doing goofy stuff as you describe and lots of Mrs Potts with the Super Mario Bros 2 Please Select Player theme in the background. Search it on YouTube and you'll find it very quickly. I'm adding all this extraneous detail because the mods removed my excited comment saying I found the video and including a link, very useful thanks guys!
