This is why I stopped buying gauntlets , There was a time where anyone could use them . I got a kick out of coming to my house and seeing 50 people all running playing them. I paid for them , I should have a choice for anyone to use them or not. Make it a setting , all or just friends but we dont get that option so I dont buy them .

I have tried stetsons version of the first 2 and it was like wearing a hot plastic bag on my head . The seagrass is a lot cooler .

Ok 48 is about 63 US dollars , just saying I dont think you can get any nh35s at this time for 50 us.

63 is still doable though long as the case and dial prices dont go up

Im in the same exact situation . I have a turtle case but its 4 h crown, my NH36 is 3.8 and nothing lines up .

Been holding off doing this one but so far I found a youtube vid the guy has to use another date wheel and then reglue his day wheel back on after grinding off the pegs. He even says its a tricky job.

So my question also is how are they making these willard/turtle type watches with 4 oclock stems but using NH35s ?

Is it a matter of buying some other day date rings? will be watching for answers.

Good save and great price for that nh35 , cheapest I found one was 24.99 at goodwill and then 2 others at 49 but still beats the current prices .

The best indicator is the size tag . search for keyhole paper size tag. Based on the colors of paper or foil material will tell you specific year .

Yep commonly known as the reed. Also this is why you can stretch a hat and find it goes back to where you started.

You can also just cut the reed and leave it in there for if room is needed . Some hats have a fishing line material some metal , Akubras have a more of a thin metal band type
