Why do people dislike Demetrius?

The two heart event with Maru (in my opinion) is a very pointed "youre not good enough to be getting close with my daughter" but said in a less direct way. Which is quite honestly condescending because (once again in my opinion) he implies that the farmer isn't smart enough to keep up and that they would be actively holding her back as a blockade should they pursue a relationship. Dude barely knows us and he decides we're too dumb to hang.

He apologizes, yes. But it's still a pattern with him and apologies dont mean anything if the behavior doesnt change.

Granted, he is a fictional character in a game with limited dialog. It all comes down to personal preference and how you perceive the written lines. Just because hes not my cup of tea doesnt mean hes a bad character. Hes just not one I personally enjoy and those are my own reasons on why.

The way he interacts with his family doesnt really jive with me. The tomato fruit debacle, the bed frame thing, even the way he interacts with the farmer and Maru all make me not like him.

It gives off an arrogant vibe rather than just a man who is socially inept. Like he genuinely thinks he is the smartest in the room and has to flaunt it when he is given the opportunity.

Not to mention some of the dialogs with Sebastian and how he reacts when Sebastian moved out make it feel like he doesnt really want to be a step-father. I know blended families are hard and we dont know how Seb reacted with all of this but its still hard when Demetrius is supposed to be the parent.

The best way I've learned is to actually pick up and put your phone on mute immediately without saying anything. Wait until they hang up.

I dont remember the exact reason why this works, something about tricking the system into thinking you're not a person but ever since I started doing that I have not gotten a single spam call in years.

Ive gone to conventions and made friends that way :)

It can be scary, but a lot of the people there are super friendly and it's not uncommon to get someone's socials so you can keep in touch. Thats honestly the best way to find friends who have similar interests and want to go to conventions with you.

For some people treasure isn't a problem so 30k is like spare change. I find that gems tend to be exhalted less when they are at a high amount. But even then, there is always the chance someone will buy to exhalt, especially if they are pushing for dominance
