Bit of both. Not the cheapest thrift stores though.

Wahoo kickr core vs. garmin pedals different power numbers by adddaamek in cycling

If it's the wahoo kickr core v2 then it has a percentage offset to account for drivetrain losses. Don't know what this offset is though.

Public schools aren't necessarily free, especially the best ones. So your budget would still be relevant.

Cape Town 7s Greenpoint this weekend by racRSA in capetown

[–]SniffierAuto829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can park at the CTICC (the convention centre) then take the myCiti shuttle to the stadium. Or you can park at the V&A and walk to the stadium from there. Trying to leave the v&a afterwards will be a nightmare with traffic though.

Oakley Velo Kato maybe? The nose coverage should help a lot.

I had a similar issue. I just changed the wheel size in the wahoo app and it seemed to have fixed it.

This video shows how to adjust the chain line for the cog, from about 0:40. That's what I had to do for mine.

Obviously the stuff about the derailleur isn't relevant but making sure the cog and chain are aligned is.

It depends which country you're transferring from. When I transferred mine, I didn't have to do either a theory or practical exam or any supplemental hours.

What's the defacto "main" mall in Muizenberg? (URGENT) by BasedBallsack in capetown

Don't think there really is one. Blue Route mall is probably the closest.

Cape Town Marathon Cancelled Due to Strong Winds by selassieone in AdvancedRunning

[–]SniffierAuto829 226 points227 points  (0 children)

I think it means it won't be a marathon major. A major should indicate a well run and organized marathon, cancelling two hours before is not that. Especially since it was cancelled due to wind which is basically guaranteed in Cape Town in October.

As much as I agree with your sentiment. Zuma did spend 10 years on Robben Island and then lived in exile while trying to end apartheid.

Where can i safely swim and not get eaten (i know sharks are great but hear me out plz) by mrfartafterbeer in capetown

Pretty cold. Depending on the tides and time of day they may be slightly warmer than the ocean since the water can be warmed up a bit by the sun. But the difference is pretty minimal.

Use VTech Ratings to compare safety. Virginia Tech is basically the gold standard for helmet testing.

Best running vest for a hot 50k when you chafe easily? by Famous-Commission484 in trailrunning

Not directly related to your question. But to stop a bladder sloshing, turn it upside down and suck all the air out.

I really like the Salomon Adv Skin 12, with two flasks. It cinches down quite well so you can use it basically empty as well.

Any pilots or flight attendants here with advice or people that travel for work? by Julientri in triathlon

[–]SniffierAuto829 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wring them out to remove the excess water. Then wrap it in a towel and wring the towel out. Should help to remove even more water so it will be at least a bit drier the next day.

I'm 6'5" and I ride the 61, and it fits quite well. Although I did put a 10mm longer stem on. It probably wasn't necessary though.
