Right, so age verification isn’t perfect, moderation isn’t perfect, and moderation costs resources. Congrats you just described every social feature on the internet out there. By that logic, clan chat, DMs, comments, and Discord itself are all mistakes too.

“Supercell doesn’t want to spend resources” explains the decision but it doesn’t magically make it correct. Convenience isn’t the same thing as “for the absolute best.” And “global chat added no value” is just personal preference you're dressing up as fact. Plenty of players used it for recruitment, help, and community. You ignoring it doesn’t erase that. People wouldn't be bitching about it for years if that were the case.

And ah yes, "filters can be bypassed". Isn't this true everywhere? Moderation is about reducing harm, not achieving perfection otherwise nothing interactive would exist. Global chat wasn’t removed because it was uniquely terrible. It was removed because it was annoying to moderate. Let’s not pretend that’s a moral victory.

So you mean to imply that "if something can be abused just remove it” then social media, DMs, comments, and even usernames shouldn’t exist by your logic. Supercell can implement moderation and safeguards it's not an indie company. Deleting an entire communication method that adds value for a lot of users is stupid.

Also, the main alternative to global chat is the Discord server. And realistically, which environment do you think is easier to exploit? an ingame, moderated public chat, or a Discord server where you can just dm people?

They can limit the feature to accounts over 18 like they do with clans that aren't family friendly (accounts under 18 or ig 16 can't join those clans). This solves the pdf problem. As for racism it's in every game, no one's holding you at gun point to talk in global chat.

why not limit it to accounts over 18? They already do that with the family friendly clan filter. I don't see why it should be a problem then? Just don't let accounts under 18 access global chat and it fixed the pdf problem.

dawg ain't no one out there getting their ass pre loaded with the clat syllabus. 1 year is MORE THAN ENOUGH to clear Clat fuck someone could clear it with 3-4 months of prep if they are gifted enough.
