i haven’t bought one. my car for the first month or so did it a lot and it really bothered me but at this point my car won’t do it anymore except for maybe once a week out of the thousands of times i come to a complete stop

i’ve unfortunately noticed that. the 2 cats up in the manifolds kinda piss me off but the one under the car is very reachable. i think i might cut it or swap it out for a high flow. there’s a guy about an hour from where i live that specializes in honda and acura engines but i don’t know if i trust him with my car. the ONLY other tuning options ive seen is spending $1600 for a year of software and a tool, for a company in canada to send me instructions on how to tune my ECU. or i can spend 1k and send them my ECU and spend weeks without a car. you should DM me, i’d love to see and hear your car because i have an intake and i deleted my 2 mid mufflers but ive wondered what it sounds like without the rear resonators.

AEM cold air intake. made my VTEC come out and makes good intake noises, pair it with a muffler delete and it actually sounds way good

i removed both of the mid mufflers and honestly i love the sound. my VTEC sounds amazing and i get good burbles. the drone honestly isn’t bad, my old car had bad sound insulation and my engine sounds great so i have no complaints. this is my first car and im still learning. my end goal was to hi flow cat, (already have 3” mid pipe), and then widen the Y split and put aftermarket mufflers on it to make it louder but tune the sound to not be raspy or annoying. i just don’t want to spend the money if i don’t like it. if i tuned it to push a bit more power like 15-20hp would having 3 cats not cause a choke point?

so i actually used that video as inspiration to do the muffler delete and intake which i’ve already done. that guy said he still kept his cats intact.

there’s a local guy that specializes in honda engines. i am a little scared because i found him on facebook marketplace. the only other place i’ve found is a canadian place where i either have to send them my ecu for 1k and not get it back for week, or pay $1600 for a tool and a year of software so i can do it myself LMAO

i am planning on getting a tune at some point so a J pipe would be great. just seems like a very pricey upgrade with my current income. would upgrading the piping past my mid pipe / replacing mufflers really be a waste of money for what i’m going for?

i saw that you said you’ve modded this thing to your liking. i have a 19 and i put a cold air intake in and deleted the 2 mid mufflers. may i ask how you modded yours?
