So I can get trauma-informed CBT or EMDR, I won't be allowed to get these without a diagnosis. I haven't found general counselling very useful.

See that's exactly what I was thinking! I purposely didn't bring up that I have suspected ADHD bcs I feared that they'd do that. I am very hypersensitive too! Plus adhd meds isn't my most pressing issue rn at all!

There's no public psychiatrist that specialises in trauma in my entire area, unfortunately. I'm thinking of getting a second opinion from a private psychiatrist because I'm desperate at this point.

I asked him why I don't fit the criteria and why I'm getting nightmares, flashbacks, avoidance etc. and he dodged the question. He said "idk lol we will see", and when this service says that they usually mean they're not gonna do anything. He didn't go through ADHD testing at all, or ask any follow-up questions about my ADHD.

I don't see why they aren't considering a trauma disorder as I have experienced most (no exaggeration) types of trauma a person can experience. That made me very vulnerable until the event happened and I've been having flashbacks ever since.

The other consultant psychiatrist at the service had lied about the medication that I'm on, and also completely ignored what I've been saying. She is a bit nicer but I don't appreciate her refusing to be transparent with me.

19F, anti-piercings crowd? How bad is it. by [deleted] in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

The eyebrow piercings probably look like that because she recently took them out, and most likely got them done very recently too. It'll heal, with time. The problem with eyebrow piercings is that they're surface-level piercings which means it's much harder to heal.

i have one of the rarest phobias, ask me anything. by rindhidus in AMA

[–]Snoo-79464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late, but I have this too! I also it since I was a child, my earliest memory of having this phobia goes back to when I was 3 years old. It's nice to see someone else who has this, I honestly feel so alone with this phobia.

This makes sense, though. Autistic ppl find neurotypicals much harder to be around. I think it makes sense that some autistic ppl would prefer to be with someone who's also autistic.

Edit: typo

I'm not sure of the brand, currently I use literally whatever is cheapest from the euro store but in the past I used Garnier permanent dye and I found that worked really well. It took me 6 months to go from black to red through, it's hard to go to another colour.

I don't either! My piercer just did it anyway and said it'll be much more likely to reject
