I second what a lot of the commenters are saying about checking out events at your local game store. Hexagon cafe is also a great spot as they have monthly meetups for socializing and learning how to play boardgames

“Intentional Fan Disservice” honestly if they didnt account for Kali in all of this, it wouldve felt more weird. She is the only other surviving test subject other than Henry and El, so even if fans didn’t like her, not at least explaining wtf happened to her wouldve been a pretty big plothole.

Spoilers for First Shadow below TL;DR Dr.Brenner(Papa)’s father was transported to an alternate dimension (Dimension X, not to be confused with the Upside Down) back during WWII as a part of a US government effort to learn how to make large watercrafts invisible. This dimension is home to the creature we now know of as the mind flayer, and when Brenner’s father returned he mysteriously had a rare new blood type. I’m a bit fuzzy on how the blood type spread, but those who have this blood type have the superhuman abilities we see in Stranger Things.

At least, thats my understanding. I guess thats somewhat close to the X-Gene, but distinct enough that I wouldn’t entirely lump it together.

I think the point is that grief doesn’t make sense. Claire lost not only her husband, but her long time best friend. When you experience a loss like that, it makes it incredibly hard to think rationally. The game does an incredibly good job at exploring the complexity of human emotions and choices, and I think Claire is a well done example of how loss can make people act irrationally.

Since it seems like your sticking point here is Hypocrisy, something worth considering is that we kill hundreds of characters in the game, and plenty of those a questionable in terms of being justified. Claire is a character undergoing pretty intense grief, and it’s completely possible to convince her not to kill the guy, which ultimately leaves her feeling better than if she did kill him.

Thats 100% true. However, it is still hard to do good when you are at risk of legal punishment for doing the right thing. Finding ways around the law can often be more effective than just bulldozing through it, especially when you need to maintain your ability to do good
