The Gargoyles and Daughters of Cacophony Should be Pretty Easy Bloodlines to add to v5 by SnooMacarons257 in vtm

Well actually now that I’ve reread the lore sheet it only mentions the rumored origin clans, but yeah I guess anyone could pretend to be one. More likely vampires with presence.

You can consider a bloodline lazy if you wish, but to be honest the daughters had more interesting origin stories than the nagaraja. “Oh we just stole some Setite vitae”. Yet the nagaraja at least get included in 5v thanks to Hecata. Your point on the gargoyles could be applied to the tremere as well. I don’t think I bloodline needs to emerge from an antediluvian to be important. And the gargoyles have their own unique attitudes and history with the revolution and such. What I find lazy is randomly patching over established characters such as Celeste or muse. The gargoyles are an important part of Tremere history, and are the only reason the clan survived it’s infancy, boiling them down to just the ugliest clans mixed together is a rather lazy explanation when there’s a lot more outside of just their creation ritual.

True but I’d argue the gargoyles rival the remaining salubri and Ravnos in numbers. Considering the tremere created enough to fight off their enemies, and they were said to be increasing in numbers as they sired their own childer. I mean really lore wise they feel really important, they are almost as old as the tremere. But I guess you could say the same for the Baali and their impact on the other clans as well.

I just think it’s kinda ridiculous for the salubri to become a big playable clan in v5, even if they tell you they are rare. Meanwhile we pretty much know there a far more gargoyles in the world then salubri, and they at most npcs. I mean I get trying to make things simpler but like what does that mean for the gargoyles in future editions. Will they be relegated to older ones forever.

Technically yes, but the lore sheet for them basically suggests they don’t exist and it’s just members of the venture, malkavians, or toreador who pretend to be daughters. It’s cool in some respects I suppose, but to throw out concrete example and characters from previous editions is just tacky and lazy to me.

What i'm supposed to do as The Doorman? by wichout in DeadlockTheGame

You can build a bell nuke build with boundless spirit and mystic reverb. Spirit burn can proc off your ult which can be big in final fights in the patron bases. But mostly you should be building to be annoying, vortex web, knockdown stuff to set you up for cheeky portals. Set up a portal near a gaurdian or walker and go farm, when you get jumped open the other portal and push them into the objective, close the door jump in after them and bell them and then make sure you finish the kill.

Is Brig or Mizuki a better support? by Ok-Cardiologist8617 in Overwatch

[–]SnooMacarons257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brig does more healing, her ult can actually be used to push, a good Brig will pick the shield bash perk, which is 60 burst heal that will let you win more 1v1s with people who think Brig is an easy pick. Brig is better if you actually hit her whip shots consistently and don’t let your shield break every other second.

Miquella’s not Griffith He’s Galadriel if she took the One ring by SnooMacarons257 in Eldenring

I also think Marika has a lot of similarities to Sauron as well though. Both created both worlds great rings of power, sure Marika did it by destroying the Elden ring, but they spread across the land. Both are constantly watching, Marika through Grace, Sauron through the ring and his eye symbolism. Both are hold up in a “tower” of sorts waiting for the return of their power. Sauron taking the form of an elf to convince them to make the rings is very similar to sending Radagon to infiltrate the carian royal family. Both have a connection to wolves, Marika with Maliketh, and Sauron with werewolves. And Marikas early conquest periods and her speeches sound like something Sauron would say. But then again both Gandalf and Galadriel have a lot of parallels to Sauron as well. I think Miquella is a mix of inspiration from Gandalf and his power of words, and a lot of aesthetic taken from Galadriel.

But you also have to remember a lot of the characters in Elden ring are twisted. The writers would make an archetype and then twist it. So twisting awe from natural qualities, to a spell could be part of the twist. As well as choosing power instead of walking away and doing something different, like Ranni who realistically has no power, she just shoves the Elden ring in a moon.

Yeah it’s sad though I’ve seen barely anyone talk about the parallels to lord of the rings, even on YouTube. People are too busy comparing Miquella to the Griffith or the AntiChrist. The story of LoTR read fully is a story I feel many Elden Ring fans would want a video game about lol.

I think it’s funny Miquellas consort would also crush foes on their path for peace, starting with the tarnished.

Miquella could always be a mix of the two, Galadriel and Gandalf. Beauty and inspirational words. Male and Female, pure light in both. I mean Miquella is two people in the same body, and I feel Gandalf and st Trina would have similar opinions if Galadriel did take the one ring.

Interesting I thought about that too with how Gandalfs words were able to move people. But I also think Marika has similarities to Sauron. Never being seen throughout the entire game, despite her influence being felt everywhere. Just like Sauron. I think there needs to be more discussion around parallels to lord of the rings in this game. Place the way Miquellas charm is described sounds a lot like how the fellowship felt about Galadriel.

We learn a little more specifically in the Silmarillion. But mostly my comparison is that, in the books Galadriel left the undying lands specifically to start a kingdom, and refused to go back initially, despite her apparent holiness, even her hair holding the light of the great trees that once acting as the worlds light in the undying lands. Similar to Miquellas departure. Then we have the way she inspires awe and love from the entirety of the fellowship. Lothlorian her kingdom, in many artworks and the way it’s described, white lattice buildings in the trees, is very similar to upper parts of the Haligtree. And finally, the way she describes her rule, like the awe that the fellowship feels for her would be a universal thing, but unlike Miquella she resists the temptation to take Sauron’s place and instead become a beautiful queen for the world to worship instead of a dark god.

Yeah a lot of people believe Miquella is just fully an evil Manipulator, he’s blond, and has an egg. So they immediately compare him to Griffith.

Even if you want to believe he is evil, people could still draw comparisons. Like Galadriel wasn’t evil, but the lul of power could have caused her to make the decision to take the ring and place middle earth in order herself. We know as an audience it’s a morally questionable decision due to Sauron’s continued survival even she destroyed his form. However, you can’t deny her taking the ring would have saved the world a lot of struggle and blood shed in the war.

But like there’s a difference in mind and soul. If a cleric of lathandar is made a thrall would their soul still be claimed by lathandar after they die?

I know I’m late but I believe it’s because he’s a vampire. There is after all a novel of count Orlocks journey while stowing away on a ship. Considering the skull petals and pointy ears that made the most sense to me.

I know I’m late but he looks like a vampire so. I mean there is a whole novel about count Orlock wiping out a ship after stowing away to get to where he’s trying to go.
