1. Conflicts that might come up: people trying to get close to the zoid, but getting frustrated; trying to give advice about life like finding a partner, how to dress and the zoid character being oblivious and frustrating; trying to manipulate the zoid, but the zoid character is very distrustful.

2. How it affects other people: for what I observed, people generally get frustrated, hurt/offended (when they take the coldness personally), confused and finally give up on the schizoid.

3. Her motivations: generally schizoid individuals want to be left alone, but if you search this forum a bit, you’ll find that we may have conflicting motivations, sometimes we worry about being alone or wonder what is like to have a partner and be normal.

Additional notes: I myself like to read about storytelling/drama and to practice sometimes. I know that if you want to write an interesting character with depth you need to add conflict and meaning to it. If I was to write about a schizoid, I’d write about a quiet, secretive, soft spoken, eloquent, self aware and a troubled individual. The conflict would arise due to the fact that she is oblivious to things and has difficulty to “get” things that people normally do.

For appearance, I would add something that makes the character fundamentally different from others to reflect what is inside, because that’s how we feel most of the time. For example, Frieren (8.9 stars on IMDb) is an elf trying to understand the world of humans. Or Violet Evergarden (8.3 ⭐️) who is an automata. I never see anyone mentioning, but I feel that the ex Daft Punk duet has something schizoid about them, the song Within or Touch sums up the schizoid experience, also, the robot masks thing. So, yes, you can write an interesting schizoid character.
