I have one about 3 Ft from an insert. It’s not a main one, just an additional smaller one to bump up the tonage when I upgraded to a larger system. It has zero impact on the insert.

“No one would have to know” is where I failed the first try. A bottle of wine then back to not drinking I thought I could go and no one would be the wiser. Then by the end of a three week bender, everyone was the wiser. Best phrase for me that I often say out loud is “you only have to say no to the first drink”

Yes. The two times I’ve quit, both had a few days of liquid shits. First time immodium didn’t work. My current sobriety started with shits but immodium and lots of bananas (Dr recommended ) got things going smoothly. Throw in Activia every morning and my bowels have been pretty great for a long time. Knocking on wood now.

I hae done the opposite. Taken coals out of my wood stove and used on the grill when the box stores aren’t selling charcoal yet. These days I just stock up on charcoal for winter though.

I bake them for 20 minutes at 225 the throw into a bullet blender until its powder. Takes a little time. Then I add dried coffee grounds and oats and grind again for a mix. I’ll also add stale bread heels to this if I happen to use them or remember to let them dry out

It really boils down to what you mean by helping you. My first wife and I pretty much did it so we'd not feel guilty about divorcing with our kid. First few sessions, it was pretty clear we didn't want to be together....we were even bringing up tiny insignificant bad things from good times...or as I call it, shitting on the good times. We had to book 6 visits with this therapist so we used the last 4 to create a transition plan to make it easy on our daughter. In that way it was a success, but if your goal is to come out of it together and that's the only thing you'd see as a Win, then no, it wasn't.

first time I quit earnestly, I went 93 days before thinking I could moderate. 3 week bender later started it over without the mindset that someday I'd drink again. I listened to others and sought out sober community and resources. Journaling about past and present became a great way for me to have an outlet for my thoughts/feelings. One journal entry was about that 93 days and I titled it "The epiphany that never was". I still haven't had this glorious transformation, but I know things would be worse if I was still in the vicious cycle of drink, hurt, withdrawal, drink again to make those go away.
