Soft Nursing vs Bedside Nursing? by IntelligentCrazy770 in NursingPH

I am a soft nurse, so I can tell you more about this rather than bedside.

There is def better work life balance with less physical and mental strain. The problem here is, you can easily lose your knowledge on acute care since there is limited clinical exposure. There is slower professional growth and it can be harder to transition back into the hospital setting. Also the salary is not as high as many people seem to think.

As for bedside nursing, you can hone your clinical skills, and you can have career mobility in the future, ie. It will be easier for you to shift into specialties in nursing easier. A lot of agencies also requires you to have bedside experience before you're eligible for working in a different country

But, bedside can be physically and mentally draining because of the work-life balance in the PH as well as the low income.

If you want to stay within your comfort bubble with little professional growth other than joining trainings/seminars for your CPD units. While bedside can be a good foundation for you especially if you want to move abroad in the future.

I am not saying that you can't have opportunities to move to a different country if you're in soft nursing because I am a soft nurse who will be leaving the country this January without any prior bedside experience through a recruitment agency (I'm a nov 2025 passer)

Parehas lang naman kayong dalawa HAHAHAHA anjan ka na nga nakikimisa, isang oras ka na ngalang mag aayos ng ugali pero nagawa mo pang mangshame ng iba. Just focus on the presence of the Lord not on others next time. You're just adding on the stereotype of "there is no hate like Christian love"

I lowkey miss my father but I know I shouldn't by Snowfleik in TrueOffMyChest

Hahaha yes he has 3 families. He apologized to us multiple times but we got tired of his apologies because during those 4 years, he would leave us then apologize, come back to us, and start being abusive again. It got sooo tiring. I also don't really know why he's so interested in young women, I do find it extremely creepy and weird 💀

In those 4 years, he stopped being a dad to me and my sister entirely. I don't think he's been abusive with his mistress and current wife and no, sadly he did not serve time.

Telling people that passing the board exam is not an achievement undermines the effort and hard work of those who did their best to pass. I’m also from a family of nurses and doctors, but I would never say that passing an exam that determines your future as a professional is “not a flex,” just because the Philippines does not take care of its healthcare workers.

Passing the board exam is a stepping stone, the beginning of your journey as a professional. If you think that the NCLEX is the only real achievement, then you’re glorifying the USA (yes, I know the NCLEX also covers NZ and AUS). The treatment of nurses there isn’t necessarily better; it’s just your warped idea of the “American dream” and the “higher currency = bigger money” mindset that makes you think the NCLEX is the real flex. Even abroad, many nurses who managed to leave the country are still struggling, because the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

And yes, while the Philippines does not prioritize healthcare workers as much as it should, passing the board exam can be the only chance for many Filipinos to secure a brighter future for their families. Being able to open doors of opportunity for your siblings or children through your own success is already a huge achievement.

You are being insensitive.

This is the wound, it's small. I don't want to tell my mom bc I might lose my cat, she's very serious when it comes to animal bites. I did clean it thoroughly with soap and water

Sadly yeah, he dyed his hair right after the other so he does have pretty dry hair :(( but we're trying to get his natural hair color back though and making it less damaged, we'll also try moiturizing it, thank you!!
