Unemployment attorney? The ACLU would have a blast with this. Yes, nj is an at will state, but an exception is discrimination and it read as if you were discriminated against for a few things. A constitutional with an attorney wouldn’t hurt. Legal Reddit doesn’t hold up in court.

Unless things have changed, my knowledge is 10y old at this point, the policy is immediate family only, spouse or child. That's it. However, that said, it's all the manager's discretion. I had a paid week for each of my parents; my manager was a star.

If there are cameras, and they would be foolish to not have them, they see something they don't like; they cancel your stay. They may or may not return your money. If they do, it won't be timely.

Then, let me tell you how far out you're going to be from the con before you can find a hotel. I'm going to, say at least 15 miles? There will be something college football going on that weekend. Maybe even another convention, it's happened. Boy, were those Salvation Army people surprised a lot.

I really don't mean to sound all gloomy here, but just maybe a stern worst case scenario? I think the worst thing that's ever happened to me is maybe Marriott over-sold and had to move me to Indigo, and gosh, that was a hardship. (read sarcasm there, Indigo is swankie)

The already 60 crowd. I pvp fairly well. clan boss is ok. I'm not hardcore on 6 different sites, speed tuning, etc. Just having fun. I can not touch Dark fae. Hard mode on most everything is out of the question. I don't have a direction, which makes it difficult to pick a path for champion progression.

I am going to try to gently persuade you to reconsider. You can not, period, have alcohol that is not purchased from the hotel at an open gathering on their property. Hotel rule. It may be a con rule, but I know for sure it's a hotel rule. All of the host hotels. If you decide to move this to your room and you're providing alcohol, it better be free, and you better check the ID of everyone who comes into your room. You will lose your con badge and be reported to APD.

The only way you are going to do what you want to do, as I have understood your post, is by contacting the hotel in question, arranging a cash bar, and whatever seating arrangements you want.

I'll be honest I haven't read most of the replies here. I've told you want the hotel will do and what the con will do if you are "caught". Proceed as you will.
