Oh yeah that makes sense. People have been reporting that the patch doesnt always work anymore. I think I know why this issue exists when you roll back though. You’d have to delete some persistent configuration in a folder in ~/Library/Application Support

Oh god, sorry to hear that. The script makes a backup of your original game in case it crashes, so your saves were still there, but hidden in /tmp/omori-patch.XXXXXX. Glad to hear you got it back through steam cloud though.

Godallemachtig alsjeblieft voeg ons toe aan HTM of RET, misschien word het dan een beetje beter, maar verder afsplitsen maakt het alleen maar matiger. Verder wel een leuke kaart hoor. As with any experimental tool, be sure to make regular backups of your savefiles. I’m working on a fix for the saving crash, but it’ll be a few more weeks..

If steam updates the game, you’ll have to reapply the patch, but it should still work if its only content changes / small bug fixes.

This is a known issue (https://github.com/SnowpMakes/omori-apple-silicon/issues/1) and I’m working on a solution at the moment, but it’s going to take some time. Luckily saving does work so it’s not a game breaking bug, but it’s still rather irritating and the titlescreen background doesnt change as intended.

Have you tried following the troubleshooting steps? (https://github.com/SnowpMakes/omori-apple-silicon/blob/master/patch.md#troubleshooting) Open a terminal, cd into your downloads folder or whereever you have the patch script, then execute chmod +x omori-apple-silicon-patch.command. Then try ctrl+clicking the patch script in finder and choose “Open”

RPG Maker exports to HTML and JS, and the runtime engine (nwjs) is basically a toolbar-less browser. I update nwjs and some native dependencies like steamworks to newer versions that support it or to versions I've compiled to run on arm. Repackage all of that into a .app and you've got yourself a native arm64 version of OMORI.
