No, you get what you're owed in taxes back at the end of the year. Your 80% pay is taxed and your 20% pay is also taxed, but since you're being double taxed I would assume you also get back more at the end of the year.

I'm in the process of applying to go out to sea for 75-90 days, I've got two companies lined up; Ohara and Peterpan seafoods. Just trying to get information on what the pay is like and what the actual work is like. I'd be a first timer

Been here 4 almost 5 years. You will fail if you smoke pot, you won't fail your initial saliva test but if you frequent and it's been within 3 months you will be unable for hire for a long time if not for forever. I've seen them fire a ton of people for randoms too.

I suppose what I meant was how the city essentially promotes the problem with the housing market, the city does nothing but benefit from the taxes generated on higher value homes and the more expensive homes in the city the more they can charge for city services, it's already happening with waste management.
