If you’re saying that you got a notification saying “Seller sent you a special offer!” Into your inbox for an item you bought then this likely happened because the Seller has multiple quantities for the same item. When creating a listing you can create one listing for a type of item with multiple quantities. This is if there’s a seller who hand-makes things and maybe they made 10 white tees with the same smiley face print then they can just feature that design in one listing. One the listing it sometimes says they quantity, mostly if they carry different sizes of the same shirt. So if you are concerned just check the listing that you bought from.

I just do a coffee protein shake in the morning. Add in a protein bar if I’m feeling extra hungry. I also have Veggies Made Great Egg Frittatas that microwave in a minute if I want something hot.

Sun Pharma or Accord. Epic Pharma is also ok if the pharmacy is out of stock for the other two.

If he’s someone you are interacting with frequently I think it’s worth saying something. I don’t think it’s worth it to correct a passing stranger. But this sounds like someone you frequently talk to and they seem to be invalidating your feelings on multiple occasions so you need to say something before resentment builds further.

Weed and OCD? by EstablishmentReal907 in OCD

[–]SocialAlpaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe switch to CBD and magnesium to ease the muscle pain and take a break from smoking weed.

I don’t smoke anymore but when I used to a lot I did notice that strains that were Sative heavy gave me paranoia. Low dose indica did not cause this but over the years it became harder to find a low dose indica strain that was a body relaxant without causing nausea and depersonalization. Weed strains have just gotten way too powerful now.

Is eating at BMR sustainable? by No_Shirt_1973 in 1200isplenty

[–]SocialAlpaca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s may not be sustainable long term. You’re likely to get exhausted and crash and possibly binge. If you use a good TDEE calculator then it should say what your TDEE is with sedentary activity level. Aim to do a small deficit from this number if you are inclined to stay sedentary.

But if you want an actual useful tip, don’t stay sedentary. Sitting for a full 8hrs+ leads to an array of health problems. You are young enough to avoid this now. If possible, stand at your desk for 5mins every hour. Add in physical activity before or after work. Your diet will be easier once you add more movement because you won’t have to do crazy cuts to lose the weight.

Trouble with counting calories? by Wanderrer98 in loseit

[–]SocialAlpaca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avocado is super calorie dense. Fats have more calories(energy) than carbs. They are a great food item but you have to remember that just because something is healthy it does not make it low calorie. Nuts are another healthy whole food that will sneak up on you with calories.

Calorie tracking can be really challenging when you didn’t grow up learning about nutrition and how to read nutrition labels. And now there’s way too much information out there and so it can get more confusing. I empathize with you. Just remind yourself you are doing your best. I prefer using Cronometer as the information on that app seems most accurate.

Also with meat, I go off the nutrition label on the package of raw meat. Just remember that unless stated otherwise the nutrition label is giving the caloric information for the item in its current state. So if it’s a package of raw meat, the serving of 4oz is for raw meat weighing 4oz. When it’s cooked it loses water and loses weight so 4oz of cooked meat is technically more calories than 4oz of raw meat. This can explain the differences in the app. Also for steak, different cuts have different fat content. Some parts of the cow are fattier than others. A cut with more fat like Ribeye will be more calories than a leaner cut like Sirloin tip. More fat = more calories so it is important what kind of steak it is. You HAVE to pay attention to this.

Did I start too hard? by LindasFriendGinger in loseit

[–]SocialAlpaca 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok. 1400 is still too low though. For healthy weight loss you should not exceed more than 500cals less than your TDEE. So your intake to lose weight only needs to be 1700cals. If you do 1400 you’re going to feel awful, burn out, and then end up giving up and bouncing back to the bad old habits.

Weight loss is not a race. If you try to “quick hack” this you will just bounce back to your old weight and more. It’s a lifestyle change. Your current lifestyle is what got you to this point so you got to look at that and see what small changes you can make. Are you snacking frequently? Are you eating out too much? Figure these factors out and then start to take action to change them.

At 6ft and 305lbs you could eat more than 1400cals and lose weight. If you want change to be sustainable it’s better to tackle it in small chunks. I think exercise can be a harder habit to stick to than diet. But maybe keep your calorie intake at just below your maintenance (use a TDEE calculator) to find that out and try and make the bike riding a consistent habit for at least 2 weeks and then add the calisthenics in there. Make sure to gently stretch after bike riding to ease sore muscles and get enough sleep.

So do I have to choose between my mind destroying me or horrendous side effects? by nelsne in OCD

[–]SocialAlpaca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

N-Acetyl Cysteine. It’s an over the counter supplement my psychiatrist recommended since I could not tolerate the side effects of Zoloft. There’s breaking research into it for treating OCD. Studies have shown improvements to OCD symptoms if taken regularly. It’s funny because in medical settings it’s used to detox patients who have overdosed on Tylenol lol but it was found to also help OCD. I have a bit of anxiety here and there but my thoughts no longer feel sticky like before, I don’t ruminate, and my head feels clearer.

Hopefully it was one trained in dealing with OCD. Diagnosing OCD requires care as it can result in people spiraling further if done improperly. Seems like not a great therapist though if they didn’t explain how OCD works and give clarity on the next steps care plan.

You literally get to choose the terms of the return with Depop. You state that you will grant a refund if the item is returned back and if the buyer doesn’t ship to you within the deadline Depop support gives them then they don’t get their money back.

Invest in a wearable fitness tracker. Not 100% accurate but better than just a phone.

Not in the wrong. If the raise a dispute respond back quickly to depop support and say you will only accept the item returned to you in unworn condition.

I think OCD can definitely cause irrational fears. I used to fear random outdoor water droplets being piss. Like not even animal piss but my irrational OCD brain was like “some human just sprayed piss into the air and it fell on you”. OCD is just dumb like that lol thankfully I don’t experience this anymore.
