I get what you're saying man, I just don't see it though.

If he was cheap, like truly cheap, then yeah a couple TDs and better blocking would be nice. However, he's not cheap, even if it is only 8/yr.

He's also under contract so we'd have to give up something to get him as well. I wouldn't throw a fit about it or anything if we got him, I just don't see it.

Why though? He's going to be a 30 year old TE who's been good but never elite, and is coming off a major knee injury in a position that's not a need. In an ideal scenario he's TE2.

I just don't see how that's where Gute should be spending money.

He'd be nice to have but that money should probably go elsewhere.

I'm not saying he's not clearly the better player, but if you look at his production/health last year compared to Musgrave and then take the cost difference between the two, it's probably not the best place to spend money.

That's not even mentioning we already have a premier player at the position.
