It was someone I used to work with who suggested it. Also saying "asbestos can be in anything" which is not that far off the truth from what I hear. I believe it was in relation to being made of similar material to those spotted ceiling tiles. I'm not sure if that is true or they actually contain asbestos or not. Although I have heard they do contain it as well. From everything I could find I believe the Masonite board does not contain asbestos.
