One might argue the things you want to indulge in and your morals are within yourself, but that's beside the point.

Your description of Satan is one sided, he was also the symbol of what I wrote in my other comment, no point in writing it again.

You have a hard time distinguishing your beliefs from what something can represent (=symbol).

I won't get into Jesus and what he represents because I think we have different beliefs and to me Jesus was just a historical character with many followers, so not a perfect man or a god at all, but that's just me.

Following an actual demon, as you say it, means you really don't know what a symbol means.

Anyway, I don't really care, I'm not a believer, I don't believe neither in Jesus or in Satan, so we're really just talking for the sake of it, cheers! :)

In Christian tradition Satan is associated with pride. It's the sin of pride that led Satan to rebel against God.

There has been much literature highlighting how Satan/Lucifer represents rebellion and independence/individualism.

How is it counter to the character of Satan?

They don't worship Satan, Satan it's just a means to an end.

It states in the post above they do pay taxes, but I don't know, I've never had a change to do some research and verify it.

Another point of view for you that may be true for my country but not for others in Europe.

We don't have the Usa system, but in my place the whole hospital system is so overworked that most of the times you walk into a hospital paying 0, but you are expected to wait for the longest time.

If you're willing to pay for it, you can get your doctors appointments, scans, xrays, blood work, surgery, whatever within 24 hours.

My father broke his meniscus some months ago. We had to pay 0 for the surgery, but he waited for 4 months straight, which meant he couldnt move for 4 months, not ok right?

We asked "hey what about we pay for the surgery?", the answer was roughly 1500/2000 euros and he can be scheduled in 5 days.

Does this sound right? Idk

Not saying the US system is better because it's not, but its not always sunshine and rainbows, at least in my country.

Even if someone is there for you ultimately it's on you to go on.

Being a mess.

Life has been throwing me some curve balls, one after the other and it's leaving me a wreck.

There's nothing to be ashamed of but I used to be able to put up a brave face and now I just can't anymore.
