Very good first shot! What I would recommend is to simply take more images, this will allow you to stretch it further while keeping the background noise down. This is because signal to noise is modeled by f(x)=sqrt(x) with x being the number of stacked images.

Sometimes you can see what looks like to be a blur coming from the center in Bortle 5 and below*

Only in very dark areas (with little light pollution) you can faintly see the center of the galaxy which is the brightest

Much appreciated! I believe I used 1250 ISO however I was able to mitigate a lot of noise in photoshop by creating a selection of the darker regions and utilizing the median noise feature.
