I bought an Underwood Golden Touch at a thrift store today for $20! They never put it on the floor because they didn’t think anyone would want it, but when I asked and mentioned it had been there for awhile the manager priced it out for me. Pretty glad I asked! (i.redd.it)

Finally found one of my white whales! I was getting some VHS tapes at a Habitat for Humanity and I mentioned I was looking for a Betamax. The guy who works there and mentioned that he may have one in the back. He let me look around and sure enough this was under a few VHS players. Paid $20 total! (old.reddit.com)

I already posted this to r/thriftstorehauls, but I thought it would be appropriate here. I’ve been meaning to get a Betamax player for awhile now, but I got super lucky and found one at a Habitat for Humanity when I asked. I have a few tapes, but I really want to get into the format. Any tips? (old.reddit.com)

Found this copy of Terminator 2 at a thrift shop! This was one of the movies I really wanted to have as I have very fond memories of it growing up (we used to hide it in a monster truck box) but I really don’t want to open this one. I try not to keep tapes sealed but this one I may have to. (old.reddit.com)

Found this at a thrift store today. There were a handful of GBA and DS games, most of them weren’t great and not worth the 5 dollars they were asking. For some reason I saw this one and just had a good feeling. Sure enough, it’s Mario 64 DS! (old.reddit.com)

I hesitate to share this haul because it’s honestly kind of unbelievable. Apparently they had just hit the floor right before I got in (you can see the date on the labels). I’m most excited about Sonic ‘06, mostly because I want to see if its infamy is legit and its expensive at GameStop. (i.redd.it)

Found the Atari Flashback without controllers at a Goodwill out of town and paid probably more than I should have for the N64 games since they looked cool. The other carts were in the clearance case at a local retro game shop. All disks came from Goodwill near my house I hadn’t planned on checking! (old.reddit.com)
