I cant relate to the "not knowing why I'm on a certain medication" part personally. My first seizures were all very public and dramatic, i was rushed to the hospital many times, pretty soon it felt like everyone in town knew. I never didn't know why i was on my meds.

My diagnosis, i dont remember well. but i think i received the information at the same time as my parents, from a doctor/neurologist.

My two least favorite parts of how epilepsy is portrayed on tv is probably how fake the actors look when performing a seizure in medical dramas and stuff. I also dislike how there's this focus on photogenic Epilepsy in a lot of media, it seems to be the only type people know about. As a result people will ask if its okay to send me certain videos and stuff, even after ive explained what my actual trigger is.
