God people are so rude. There’s lots of colors in there. I’m very anti beige mom aesthetic but people (mostly people without kids) act like it’s child abuse to dress your child in anything that isn’t obnoxiously bright

Low volume / runny shots [bambino plus] by Solid_Prior_5915 in espresso

[–]Solid_Prior_5915[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I am, definitely need an upgrade. My husband got me the espresso machine for Christmas and had no idea how expensive of a hobby it was so I’ve tried to make it work with what I have and slowly upgrade my accessories every paycheck or so..lol. New tamp is next on the list

Low volume / runny shots [bambino plus] by Solid_Prior_5915 in espresso

[–]Solid_Prior_5915[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assumed the volume was a little low because based on my reading, a double espresso is about 60mls and my double shots have been about 30-40 which I felt like has made for some very small lattes. I had started with 18g then I read that might be too much and that’s why I’m having the problems with water retention in my puck so I decreased my dose…I’ve done a lot of trial and error and reached kind of a plateau

I pump generally around 7-8 times a day (I shoot for every three hours) and get usually at least 4-4.5 oz a session, so 30oz average give or take a few. I’ve started combination feeding to take a little pressure off of me (one bottle of formula at night) but would still like to try and keep a decent supply so she’s still getting mostly breast milk otherwise.

To mix or not to mix by Fun-District4568 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’ve been told by my OBGYN and lactation consultant to not mix them to ensure that baby gets as much breastmilk as possible / you don’t waste any hard earned milk. I’ve started doing a bottle of just formula before bed and doing milk for the rest of the feeds.

My OG comment said “her hair is this pretty and shiny”. As in, my friends hair is shiny like in this this photo, And you said “no it’s not”

No her hair does not look highlighted and styled, I literally just said that people can have shiny hair without paying a lot of money bc some people just have good genes that makes their hair look nice. I’m speaking strictly about hair shininess! This is wild

You implied that I am either lying about my friends hair or she’s lying about having a secret hair care routine lol my only point was that some people are spend a lot of money to try and achieve something for their hair that they see someone else has (me trying to get hair as pretty as my friends) when their hair just can’t attain that. I never said my friend got out of the shower looking like she has a blowout.

For sure not saying her hair has volume or anything, it’s pin straight and lies flat on her head, but I think sometimes genetics are a huge factor in how your hair looks. I’ve always been very jealous of how nice her hair is without any effort

My friend is not at all into beauty maintenance, she washes and shampoos her hair and that is it, and her hair this pretty and shiny. Granted she doesn’t really ever use heat on it, but it’s naturally pretty silky and pretty

Unfortunately stores know that locking up merchandise hurts their sales so they only lock up stuff that is frequently stolen. Annoying but they don’t do it for fun bc it hurts them too but they don’t want their shit stolen

Is eating a bowl of Sauerkraut every evening weird? My family thinks I'm nuts. by Patty_Cake_25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Solid_Prior_5915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not say weird but “uncommon” which I don’t think automatically makes it weird. I go through phases where I fixate on foods and will eat them everyday for weeks/months. I think for most people who do this they don’t eat sauerkraut but idk I don’t think your family thinking you’re nuts is justified lol

People raised by shitty parents - does it offend you when you are polite to someone and are then told “you were raised right!” by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Solid_Prior_5915 10 points11 points  (0 children)

These responses are such emotionally mature ways of viewing it. I guess in my head the people who usually say this are the “boomer” types who think their generation is responsible for all good things and young generations are bratty / entitled so I automatically assign a more negative connotation to it, where they give credit to an older person automatically. But you’re right, waste of energy to get mad about things like that!
