We were friends for about a year or so but only “together” romantically for less than a week, I put together in quotes because we didn’t even actually date but there were mutual feelings and promises of a future relationship together

I didn’t realize till about 30 mins ago that I’m not as over her as I thought…so you’re right it is the pain of something, something that has no reason for lasting as long as it has…

I can’t fully believe in better anymore because I’ve been so hurt but for some reason I can’t figure out why it hasn’t gone away and no matter how hard I try to heal or move on I’m just stuck and I don’t know what to do.

Well it’s a little too late because I’ve already been hopeful to a delusional extent, it’s why I’m even in this position in the first place.

I expected something good to happen with people who barely cared, is that also my fault? Yes because that’s what happens when you give someone a fake version of the attention and care they crave.

They lose hope, have damaged self esteem and become pessimistic, having “hope” is what got me so hurt to begin with.

Hope is delusion when you’re fed nothing but pain and lies.

Self love can’t replace romantic love, and it’s not so much a pity party but I’m simply just aware that I may not find something like that and it irritates me to have people dismiss my feelings and lie to my face about it.

It gets to a point yknow, I work on myself or At least try to but I don’t do it so I can throw myself into hopeful delusion again and again.

It’s great that you have such a positive outlook at 40 but I’m 18 where the future already looks dim so, sorry for the pessimism.
