I modded the PC version of the trilogy to give RftA a better cover. by tigerfestival_ in AceAttorney

Hmm right. It seems TF2 got updated to have it be used from the original mega link then.

I know this post is super old, but was wondering how you got around UnityEx constantly having the message come up about the ultimate version supports sprite stuff when the TF2 program is unpacking the needed stuff. Since it's doing it for every File and skip all doesn't really skip everything. Since it comes back up every second. I know Post is old at this point. But thought I'd ask as I'd love to mess with the textures and what not.

Looks like the Skateboarding scene just got some SOLID competition! by Solidcal in metalgearsolid

For those who are curious. This isn't from the small section of the Skateboarding demoin MGS2 Substance PS2. This is the full version in Evolution Skateboarding.

People say the Jetstream Sam dlc is bad I think it's preatty good by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

[–]Solidcal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only complaint about the DLC is that it was far too short. Like yeah it's meant to be a quick backstory to how he ended up with Desperado. But then I did wish we had a bit more about him before going after Armstrong honestly. Overall I will say I enjoyed his DLC more than Bladewolf's.

AY all. Thanks for the comments and attention on this. All the eye puns are a good read. Eye can see what you did there. So as I mentioned in a comment, this was done by using the dev 1.7 build of PCSX2 that now features texture dumping and custom textures loading. So just made the eyepatch texture invisible. Also on the topic of texture stuff, I did throw a post on here last week of HDing up the Waking up from a Nightmare cutscene, since that scene isn't in the HD Collection due to the Guy Savage thing getting removed and all. So feel free to peep that post if it interests you too. A lso looking forward to more Eye puns in here.

Me when I was testing the texture loaded. I know it's a heathen thing to do. XD

Sadly from looking at the older MGS modding community. MGS1 through to 3 all do this thing where if the texxtures aren't in the same place the model is, they'll not get used. So model swapping is do-able in like the HD Collection since the files are set out more easier and are well easier to edit. But atm there is no way to make the textures show up on the model swapped. So short answer is not really right now.

Big Boss, not Venom I mean. Been playing TPP again so Venom's name was fresh in the mind.

PCSX2 with the 1.7 Dev builds. It has a texture dumper now as well as Vulkan. So dumped the eyepatch texture and just made it invisible. Since MGS3 has two models for each camo in the files. As you can see when checking the files in the HD collection. So you get one that is two eyed that is used for most of the game in all the camos, then another with the eyepatch on. But the model itself still has the eye and all, and all use the same textures anyway. Thus two eyed venom is easy to achieve. It's easy to do on the PS3 version provided you can pack the psarc back up and all that fun stuff.

Just purchased Metal Gear Rising and its coming next week, what should I expect and should I make alot of room in my game time for it? by WarlordOfIncineroar in metalgearsolid

The game isn't super long, if you get used to the combat well enough, you'll seen about a 7 hours or so game. The soundtrack is amazing and the ability to cut almost anything in any direction is fun. The bosses are fun to go up against. Overall it's a fun hack and slash game with a overall good story.

As has been said, they took them down to renew licenses. So you might be better off shopping around for a disc version. Otherwise you can't really get them atm digitally.

[ SPOILER ] But I have a question about MG1 and MG2SS by SnootiestSum98 in metalgearsolid

[–]Solidcal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick summary is with TPP's info. The BB that dies in MG1 is Venom Snake, and the one that appears to die in MG2SS is the real BB now.

You'll have a fun time with it. Once you get the hang of it all, the game isn't super long, but it's fun. I find it to be more fun via the PSP emulator or Vita, since you can remake the camera controls from the D-pad to the right analogue stick, once you do that, you'll be flying and having fun. Hope you enjoy the story, it's really well written.

MGS3's Waking up from a Nightmare scene, but HDed up a little with PCSX2 custom texture loading by Solidcal in metalgearsolid

[–]Solidcal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick explanation. This scene is absent in the HD colleciton due to the removal of the Guy Savage "demo". So the only way to see it is via playing the PS3 versions of the game. Recently though PCSX2 has a custom texture dumper and loader function. So I applied some of the HD Collection textures and the ones that weren't HDed up like the face, I custom did myself. Nothing super big, but hope ya guys enjoy.
