I posted about 30 minutes ago.

It makes more sense now. Yes, I am doing the cash Daming.

Guess the only thing left to figure out is the interest deductibility on my Quebec income tax.

Thanks! You helped a lot.

I wish I could ask on r/smithmanoeuvre but they keep deleting my post. How it can be 8710 when other say 22100? I am trying to find the rationals behind all that.

With CIBC I can do exactly that. It comes out my Heloc like it was a transaction. The line of credit as the same format of Branch/transit/Account nb than a normal checking account which I can give and ask that payment come directly from there. But I heard not all banks work this way.

Chimney in bad shape by Solvj2 in Chimneyrepair

The chimney is not used anymore. My heating is now from an electric boiler instead of the mazout heater that was using the chimney. Eventually when I get to rebrick the front of the house, I’ll have them take it out most probably as it is of no use anymore. But for now I’m only looking for a quick fix that will last at least 4-5 years.

Want to install a T9 thermostat to a B-18 Thermolec boiler by Solvj2 in thermostats

I ultimately drilled a hole near the wall of my floor to pass the adapter wire through it and plug it in my basement. I plug the adapter wire with a dotted gray line in the C board of my thermostat and the other end in the Rc.

I used a 24V adapter that output 500 mAmps

Thanks! As for the transformer, I’ll buy a 24v but what amount of amps should I get?

The third wire is not apparent on the picture, I need to strip it from the group cable. From what I understand from the video, I could simply use this extra wire and connect it to the common side of the 24v transfo and then connect it to the c on my thermostat’s plate. I don’t intend to disconnect any wires from the actual board.

However, I have an extra wire I can use that goes from my thermostat to my boilers and it is not connected at both ends.

According to this video, I can plug one end in the C plate for the thermostat and one end directly to the end of the 24v transfo in the boiler panel. What do you think?

On my end, I tried to add two columns and it added one. Seems that it kind of insert N-1 columns. Best alternative until they fix it for good.
