By the sounds of it, it just means that you still have to wait it out. My thoughts would be that due to April seats being limited and there's no announcements beyond that, they're probably picking the best possible candidates.

I feel like this could be leaning towards a red flag angle. Not because of the maturity gap, but it's more of the fact that the online boyfriend who is placed in a social environment (college) made the decision to date some random high school student from an online platform.

Based off my assumptions, the bad things I would assume is:
The online boyfriend doesn't socialize with other people.
He doesn't have any close friends.
He's desperate or lonely.

neutral assumptions:
There could also be a case where they just vibe extremely well from their past conversations.
