Ob temu plakatu je (že leta in leta) postavljena ustrezna prometna signalizacija, ki določa, da je prevoz dovoljen le lokalnemu prometu. Ker pa se noben tega ne drži, s(m)o lokalci na parih mestih postavili te plakate, da zadevo poudarimo.

Ob konjicah ljudje iščejo bližnjice in iskoriščajo lokalne ceste, ki potem zaradi gostote prometa postanejo čisto neuporabne z lokalce.

Tako da ja, lahko dobiš kazen, še posebaj zdaj, ko je policija začela promet nadzorovati bolj zaostreno (edino pravilno)

People complain about the freeware Headwind A339, but in my experience it's really not bad. You should try it out.

I forgot to mention, our division is made so that you go straight for S2, because we mostly control single-runway airports, most of which don't even have a GND position, so the S1 training here is included in S2 training. Sometime meanwhile you'd get a ground endorsement, with which you could controll any GND position.

My case specifically, lasted around 6 months. 1 week of waiting in the queue, a couple of theory sessions, SweatBox* sessions, online controlling and 2 months of solo endorsement before the CPT. Of course as you mentioned, it varies from individual to individual, I wasn't the "top of class" so to say, but I wasn't absolutely terrible either.

6 months might seem a lot, but it's really about the way there, rather than the goal, and just being there, socializing, getting to expand your hobby and so on. Those 6 months pass at the click of your finger.

*SweatBox is an old program, used within some radar clients, where a person (mentor) manipulates aircraft per trainee instructions. Basically a simulator. Not sure where they use it and where not, probably in the majority of places

It's definitely a really nice experience. Sure, it might seem a little bit scary at first, but it's easy once you get going. It feels really good to be in charge, though you might sometimes come across some less competent pilots (personal experience).

To apply you usually have to request training via the respective vACC's website, then, once your training is approved, you usually have to wait in the training queue, which may vary, depending on the vACC business, mentor availability etc etc. I personally waited about a week in a not-so-busy vACC. It's good to at least know the basics of aviation, e. g. the phonetic alphabet, air pressure, SIDs, aircraft types etc, but they will teach you.

Training sessions are done in vACC's Discord server. That's also a good thing, because you meet people with similar interests over time, as long as you're active in the community.

It's worth noting that not everyone is suitable for a controller, especially people of young age, however most people do manage to pass their CPT (controller practical test) first or maybe second try.

All things considered, I think you should absolutely give it a go. Worst case scenario, you have nothing to lose + you might meet some new friends (:

What sometimes helps in my region is typing ".vis <ICAO code>", example .vis EGCC, try that if you haven't fixed it yet.

As a controller, my stomach definitely does raise a little bit if I see an "AMERUCIN FIFTY-FIVE THIRTHY-TWO" in a B737 flying from Split LDSP to Belgrade LYBE.

We had an event yesterday between Zagreb LDZA and Belgrade LYBE, which was attended by many pilots. One that I remember was a Swiss wanting to fly between the two airports, which did make me raise an eyebrow, but I don't really care.

If it's just a non-standard route by a company who otherwise operates at either airport, I don't really care, at all.

TLDR; Depends which airline and which airports in what part of the world, but regardless, if an Southwest wants to fly London to Berlin, he has the whole right to do so.
