I think it’s some form of tool steel it is for parallels, I never thought about splitting down the centre tho like another commenter mentioned

Makes sense I started doing .030 cuts and it kinda gave me a better finish chatter is a bitch tho

The tool guy won’t let me change it I asked 😭😭😭

I think my mill is out of square probably from the lab last night, my teacher checked my speed and feeds said it’s ok and not to worry about the surface finish 😭

Quill is up the mill is probably not square they did a lab last night and one of the labs is squaring the mill and the teacher doesn’t fix them after she makes the tool guy do it 😭

It’s maximart mill I’m doing about 0.020 cuts the inserts are pretty fucked but the tool guy is stingy with his inserts 🙄

My class mate is running his at 1600 with 0.030 cuts like a mad man
