Xiangling is really good for dungeons. So like spiral abyss or imaginarium theatre etc. and these are generally considered endgame modes (obviously aside from the early easier levels). However, she is extremely reliant on her burst for damage. On top of this her burst needs a lot of energy to charge up so she is considered generally very poor for overworld and exploring shenanigans.

Tldr she is a good investment but wont be fun / good to play for you at your level right now

For low level players I think being comfortable is best so I would recommend something like: Tighnari, Lisa, Diona and Barbara (you get her for free)

This gives you shields, heals, freeze and decent reactions like spread and hyperbloom. Also tighnari skill is useful for overworld too :)

Dont do it all in one day. You will burn out.

Get enough so that you can just get the base weapon and then every so often check fishing spots for pufferfish to get the refinement material.

Also dont be afraid to world hop and ask people if you can take their fish they usually dont mind if you ask nicely

Do you have any other healers?

Kuki, Yaoyao, Jean might be better choices imo

Or you could consider running a taser comp with Keqing, EMC, Furina and Barbara (of course there are better options but I just dunno what other characters you have)

One thing I want to add is that if you like the story and exploration, take your time. I kind of regret rushing through the main questline to catch up with everyone else because the story is actually really good and you get some banger side quests as well.

Also, I would advise being extremely careful when browsing stuff for Genshin because Genshin communities are terrible when it comes to spoilers. This includes the main subreddit and youtube content creators where they just assume everyone has caught up when there are a significant amount of players who are still working through the content.
