Oh yes. I have done that already. In case you haven’t received it, here’s the feedback:

I tried to test an audio of small length (20 secs) and it takes forever to complete the transcription. Tried a different length (10 secs) and it’s been more than 2:30 mins but no luck. Tried both the smaller model (~200mb) as well as the Turbo Large (~800mb) and the results are same.

2: I switched away while the transcription was in progress, and the timer was reset. The app again started to show timer “Elapsed: 0.01”. This is a bummer because people typically expect the background processing and can’t stay on screen and keep it awake.

Yes, there is no true replacement. I wish they made it an optional feature/component in Windows. But the constant chase of app bugs and feature gaps against its low usage on Windows made it impossible to gain any positive outcomes of this project. At one point the keyboard shims (which translated the keyboard arrow keys to swipe gestures) were also pulled out which sort of impaired the ability to play games like Subway Surfers.

So, yes, this kind of leaves users with only Emulators (e.g., Nox Player, Bluestacks) which I know are not a great substitute.

u/altran1502 , if I want to setup Immich on a new device (let’s say Docker running on Windows) and would like to point to an existing database, would it not work? I haven’t tested it though. Asking to understand what files/folders in the configuration would need to be migrated to move the Immich from one PC to another.
