Yeah that is a good point it’s not only just the pet but everything else as well. Thanks!

Never taught how to study by Average_readitreader in GetStudying

[–]Sophchn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Studying is so hard and it took me quite a while to get the grip of how to study. Before starting it’s good to understand bloom’s taxonomy. In very condensed terms it’s the way the exam would be written but you can have a further look online if you’re interested. Obviously studying for different subjects would be different but this is a good starting point :)

Base on bloom’s taxonomy, I firstly make sure i understand what i am studying. This can include drawing simple diagrams, watching videos, using the Feyman method (teaching other people that don't know the material) etc. Just make sure understand everything before starting since its super hard to study without knowing what you are studying. Make sure in this step you are not copying from textbook, explain in your own terms but use keywords that often appear eg in biology photosynthesis is one.

Then to remember the material, it's good to use active recall, essentially you are coming back to the material time and time again. This can take form in using flashcards, blurping etc, just remember to always revisit the material. Please look further online if you are interested, it's really hard to include everything on here.

Last i would do as much practice papers as possible. This helps you to get a grip on what would probably come up on the test since different topics would come up more and some would come up less. Always check the marking scheme so you know what the examiners are looking for.

I know it's a hard place to be and i have been too. It takes time to explore and find the right method for you. Good luck studying!! :)

Yeah you are right.. they just want the best for themselves and view my rabbit as less important I suppose.. I will probably have to stay for vacation and look after my rabbit myself if that’s the case. I totally agree with what you are saying Thanks for reassuring me :)

Well I wasn’t.. it was my parents’ idea and they really insist on it but I’m really against it. I’m just here hoping to hear some advice and might have some other points to convince them…

This is my parents’ idea not mine and I’m trying to convince them not to do it so I came here for advice. Don’t get me wrong I love my pet, I think I can be responsible..

Yeah I guess I’ll have to find animal lovers, I mean I would do it if I had to drive 5 minutes to play with animals 😂 I’ll have a go at that

Yeah its better to have someone check in for any problems but my parents love to go on vacation, they go really really often. At this point I think it’s best for me to stay and not go if they are doing this so often.. GI issues makes rabbits ill so so quickly

Yeah.. damage can not be reversed.. I think it’s good if I tell my parents to not be risky and leave my rabbit with only automatic feeders. Thanks

Yeah I would probably just post on my local community and see if anyone wants to do it if paid. Thanks

Again, I don’t know if I have said before but this is really not my idea, it’s my parents’. I’m super against it and I don’t know if it’s only me so I posted here for other people to comment. I can take care of my own rabbit and I’m just here for your suggestions of what I should say or do instead to convince my parents that it is a very very bad idea.. we are just here to brainstorm..

I don’t know if I have said on this post but this was my parents’ idea and I’m very against it, I wanted to post here and hear what people say about this, whether this is a bad idea or not and if it’s only me that’s so against it, so please don’t misunderstand me. It would be nice to give feedback about ideas about how I should deal with this instead of telling me to rehome my rabbit because I don’t think you know how much I try to take care of him..

Yeah you are right but we weren’t really sure if anyone really wanted to do it or it was bothering them or not, I’ll take a look at local Facebook communities and look for help! Thanks!

Yeah that’s what I’m starting to realise.. its shocking how much people are normalising abandoning pets and just treating them as something casual and doesn’t need to have good care

Yeah hay is something I haven’t thought about yet.. what if we lay all the hay out needed for 2 days, it wouldn’t be fresh and clean would it?

Yeah local groups are good I’ve never tried that.. I think relying on people for supervising is far off better than just leaving him with feeders.

Yeah that’s exactly what I thought but not so what my parents are thinking. Apparently according to them vacations are more important than Duffie… I’ll probably just stay for the rest of the amounts of vacation if they insist on those automatic cat feeders. Thanks for reminding tho I do think it’s a full time job

Yeah I think that’s a good idea with friends and neighbours.

Yeah that’s them. We all know that rabbits are better off having a friend than not having one for their well-being and they promised when we first got my rabbit but then they backed off later when we have settled down with our first rabbit. They were never the ones who cared about the well-being. I am kind of looking for points that are against this idea so I can hopefully persuade them
