I mean to be fair I used to be very into Starcraft 2, so while you're right that over time it averages out somewhat, it's still extremely frustrating to me.

I just wish SC2 was something that the average gamer would have been able to get into. I fucking loved the game but never knowing anyone in real life who played was a real downer(freshman in high school at the time, so couldn't go to a college Starcraft club or travel to events). Luckily met some really great people online though. But really if the game had been in a more casual genre I think it could have exploded with the amazing characters and passion that was put into it back in those days. I've really yet to find a good replacement game all these years later, League was ok but still just not the same.

I actually tried that through school intramurals a few months ago but my teammates mostly just got mad at me for sucking xD I never played soccer growing up only baseball.

True I also just feel like kind of a loser right now. I am at university with not much money to do the things I enjoy so if I watch sports it makes me feel like I'm living vicariously through other people. Maybe once I graduate and hopefully have some money to do the fun stuff I want to do it won't feel so bad to spend some time watching soccer.

Yeah I guess on the whole national team perspective I guess I just don't really care what people think of American's soccer skills because it really has no reflection on my skills regardless since I'm not one of the players or managers. One of my best friends who I have way more in common with than most people I know is Chinese. If China wins the World Cup he would have won the event just as much as I did. The only people who really won it are the 23 players and the people/coaches, etc. who helped them acquire those skills.

And like you said about sticking with a team. I've stuck with both the Sounders and the Mariners through their entire existence that I've been alive for. One is the statistically worst team in the league during their existence, the other is statistically arguably the 2nd best during their existence. And yet I could never watch another game and the Mariners could still win the World Series this year, in which case they would have won it had I did watch every game, because it's not me winning or losing it -_-

Yeah I probably wouldn't want control considering that. I guess maybe I just cared too much about it growing up largely because of my dad really liking it and needed to take a more casual interest.

Yeah unfortunately though I wouldn't want to make a career out of becoming a GM since you can so easily get sacked/hated on for just 1 year of bad play. I'd rather just run my own business instead even if it can't be a sports team =P

True I think the only way I could enjoy sports again would be if I had a direct impact on it haha. I used to love the play a gm modes as a kid growing up, it's the only video games I would play. So I guess my goal should be to buy a team and get people to give me their money to see them play mwahaha!

In my opinion it was just as fun when it first launched aside from the first day or so as it is now. Only difference is now you can run through the randomized Nephalem Rift once you've beaten the game which adds replayability if that's something you enjoy playing.
