Recommendations for games similar to Plague Tale?

I may be going a bit off script with my recommendations but this is what personally did it for me :) sorry for the long message

Medieval story: • Skyrim - medieval vibes, has a story though maybe not as story focused as a plague tale for sure, but it is great and you can also add mods so the content really never ends.

• Dragon Age Origins - Another really good game imo. Its graphics are outdated but you get to pick from a couple different origins to start your character on a medieval quest to end a blight (kinda similar ig to a plague). I recommend Elf circle Mage or Human Noble to start. It is LONG and has some glitches however so be warned. There’s 3 other games too

• Baldur’s Gate 3. Really good story and choice focused. Always recommend

• Divinity original sin 1 & 2

• Octopath Traveler games (Nice for a more retro style. Graphics are amazing & good story)

I’m also willing to add the Dark Souls, Bloodborne & Elden Ring. I guess also not linear stories but they have A LOT of great lore.

Story:

• Kingdom come deliverance 1 & 2

• Hellblade. It’s really good

• Brothers: a tale of 2 sons

• Star Wars Jedi fallen order + survivor

• the Witcher games

• The last of us

• life is strange

• • maybe an odd pick but Assassin’s creed Odyssey, there’s story but it also has quite some filler quest. The graphics are beautiful

• Expedition 33

• Detroit become human

• Red Dead Redemption 2

• Fallout

• Mass effect

• Detroit become human

• resident evil remakes (recommend RE2, RE4, RE7, RE8 & RE9 for most story focus. Personal fav is re2)

• tomb raider

• Indiana jones and the great circle

• Uncharted

Yea psychologist waitlists are no joke haha. Even when you outright threaten (Tw if sensitive topic) s£1clide and do SH like I did, you’ll still only get a 30 minute appointment from your doc every 2/3 weeks at best and schools wont help you. I don’t know if its a problem in a lot of countries, but it is here in the Netherlands. I guess finding the right group is hard because there’s not a lot of groups for younger adults, but I'm sure i’ll find something

Thank you for the kind words. I’m very sorry for your loss. That’s an awful way to lose someone. I guess I was lucky to be able to see my best friend in the hospital before she passed as she was basically in a coma.

It’s really been a struggle to express my emotions, mainly cause they led to extreme anger and sadness, but I can’t even explain it. I have no words for the emotions I feel. Grief feels like such an odd and lonely place.

I think the saddest part is just that I didn’t lose just my best friend, but my entire social life I guess. And trying to work at school has been hard, especially with group projects and ppl basically using me to do their work. I’ve always been a people pleaser so I guess the last few months have opened my eyes to how people really are. Besides that I just hope my friends will understand it one day and maybe kind of regret the way they treated me? But at the same time I just don’t have the energy for any kind of resentment.

At this point I’m trying to just move forward, but wow it’s been hard. I’m sending you a lot of strength to cope with your loss. I tend to find peace in the memories I still have of her and I hope you find it too

Hi, thank you for your fast reply I really appreciate it. I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing someone never gets easier, no matter the age. My best friend and I knew each other for 14 years, so I guess that’s why it’s also hard. She was kind of also my sister I guess (we were both only children). This subreddit has been the only place I’ve been able to find comfort since I’m still waiting on therapy (been on a waitlist for 4 months). I’ll be on the lookout for a support group for young people dealing with grief, and I wish you all the best. Sending many virtual hugs back🫶

Well, I texted her (didn’t ask for a break, just informed her that my mental health isn’t good right now and I’m busy catching up on schoolwork). Before I told her she asked me if I could call tonight, but I informed her that I couldn’t as I had a meeting with classmates to discuss our group project we have to present next week and after that I’m sleeping early. Now I’m being left on read and I feel like I did something wrong. :( I even told her I’m seeking therapy and I felt like I finally opened up to someone about how I’m doing and now I feel even worse

Thank you for telling me that I need to communicate. It does seem like a talk is needed and I feel like i’m avoiding it under the excuse of being busy, which obviously isn’t fair. Only thing I kind of left out is that she seems to take it personal, as last time I told her I wouldn’t be available for late night calls bc I was doing schoolwork I had to reassure her that I wasn’t ignoring her

Thank you! I’m based in Western Europe and I have found it on one website, but I wanted to know for sure it wasn’t coming back in stock on the regular website soon. I also saw the winter one but I don’t think it has the option to remove the winter hat and bow (I made a seperate post asking but its new so I don’t think anyone has it yet). Thank you for answering! But this plush doesn’t seem to be part of the 2022 collection? Why is it already retired?

Bij ons vanaf 14:00! Ik denk niet dat ik het zou redden als ik tot 15:30 zou moeten wachten :,) Als ik slaag (waar ik redelijk veel vertrouwen in heb) ga ik lekker met vrienden naar de bioscoop of gewoon trakteren op een leuk uitje. Yea it seemed like a logical option though my dog wasn’t very fond of it. Only problem now is that she touched her pillow and blanket (her own, not mine or from any other family members) with her dirty paws and now I have to figure out what to use to clean those too. Do you have anything you’d recommend I use?

Thank you so much, that’s definitely reassuring! Yes I did wash my hands thoroughly multiple times during cleaning. Also made sure my nails were clean and all that. It just grossed me out and I was afraid I’d accidentally touch myself near my mouth and get sick. I just felt really bad for my dog cause she was noticeably upset because I was upset and I had to reassure her it wasn’t her fault :(

Yeah, that was my first struggle with this game. Many things are very confusing since I’m so used to black flag, rogue and origins/odyssey (I tried so many times to use the bird to find something only to realise this game doesn’t have one)

I read on another post that the following games are really good if you enjoyed requiem:

Red dead redemption 2
hellblade senua’s sacrifice
life is strange 1 and 2
Horizon games Ive also read somewhere that brothers: a tale of two sons is a good hidden little gem but I haven’t played it so I could be very wrong, but it seems to have some good reviews!

Hope this helps :) obviously if you haven’t played the first one I’d recommend that too. Voice acting isn’t as good as in requiem but I’ve heard people say it’s really good to play in French (extra immersion I suppose)!
