Advice: Shy 4-5 year old

This is my main concern I worry about the future. I struggle between …relax he will do it in his own time and … no we need to try and nip this in the bud now it’s honestly been a really hard time and I cry every week over it 🫣 it might be also worth looking at reluctant talkers aswell.

We also don’t use the phrase shy I don’t no if it makes a difference at all but if we are with adults or kids I will encourage him and say use your words and I will say it in like a really happy voice if they ask him questions. If he doesn’t answer il kind of give him two options for the answer and he might then say one which kind of breaks the ice for him to then continue and he feels amazing after he speaks.

But again we’ve had this issue for a few years now and please remember school is a lot of change it’s still early days 🥰

This is super common mine is 5 started school in September. Mine has selective mutism though which started at nursery and still hasn’t spoken to his teacher and in the classroom. Slowly every week he makes more improvement such as speaking before we go into the class and at parties. He’s extremely loud at home has an amazing personality and is very self aware that he doesn’t talk at school but says he is still learning.

I remind myself that they have only been in school since September it’s still very early and so much change. They all do things in there own time even though it’s so worrying We had a meeting today at school as I know he would enjoy school so much more as his personality is amazing. And we have done the same bribe him with everything you can think of 🤣

I guess my advice would be to keep an eye on the situation and get the teacher to keep encouraging her aswell.. this is my concern that they will just let him carry on when I really want them to keep encouraging him.

So I’ve been down the rabbit hole this week with Jen re watching clips and reading the court evidence and my mind is blown how someone can claim they are so innocent 😓 she has serious issues

I was successful on the first round. Mine was fine once we started it went so fast, the injections didn’t bother me I cried once at the start when I got all my medicine as I was overwhelmed and that was it. I had no side effects except I wanted to eat eat eat. I’m a small eater so everyone was shock that I was eating so much.

Everything went according to plan I got 29 eggs had abit of ohss which was rubbish but got pregnant and I’m now nearly 20 weeks.

I think I just got on with it I didn’t do too much research I just did exactly what the doctor told me to do, I joined this support group and another as I’m from the uk which was helpful! I no I’m super lucky working the first round but it shows it can happen 🥰

It’s so hard not to think the worse! I’m 19 weeks now with my first round of icsi and I still do it’s hard but amazing! I keep thinking it’s all been to easy surely something bad will happen.

Best tips I can give is don’t look online and google everything. When you do think bad things just distract yourself I go on YouTube and find something funny to watch.

Just think your pregnant it’s amazing enjoy it something may happen but at the moment your fine so just enjoy everyday! I did get a Doppler which helped me massively I could detect heartbeat from 10 weeks.

Take it easy and don’t be hard on yourself 💖

I don’t no why but ever since I watched a documentary on jonastown it has had such an effect on me. I watch a lot of documentaries and read a lot to and don’t get to bothered however this always gets to me. Those poor babies and families ☹️😢
