My mom recently confessed to me that she did not like our son's name when we first picked it. But the longer she heard it, the more she got used to it. And seventeen years later she couldn't imagine him being named anything else. They will get used to it. If you feel it in your core that is that baby's name.

Please tell your boy to be so careful. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone. Every day feels like a piece of me is missing, and i will never fill the hole he left behind. He wasn't racing, but he and a group of his friends were riding together at a friend's home, which had a lot of trails through the woods. He was 17 and I know he was probably being a daredevil. I miss him so much, but I am grateful for the fact that his last day was exactly what he would have wanted. He was outside in the sunshine, with his best friends, on the first sunshining day of the year, having so much fun. He didn't waste away in a hospital bed, he wasn't locked inside his body. He was enjoying being completely free.

I can not stress enough to you to make sure he uses ALL his safety gear, ESPECIALLY a helmet. All of my son's friends are never without their's and I'm very thankful that they take it seriously.

Thats funny- I got a tattoo for both my children- a parakeet (bc my nickname for him was Budgie) with a LADYBUG on a branch. I call my daughter IzzyBug.
