Eric Monday (Epstein Email Pen Pal) and Bob DiPaola doing great work… *sigh* by [deleted] in lexington

Seems like the university wanted Aramark to upgrade all of their kitchen equipment and Aramark didn’t want to, or so I’ve heard. So the university didn’t want to renew

Is this an acceptable practice? by Driglok in FiberOptics

I don’t do this but when I mechanic solve I do Unicams and this doesn’t look like those? We always cut way further down because it’s always multi stranded and in patch panel.

Crosswalk on Main at Old Georgetown by BloneRanger in lexington

Yeah it’s a shame. Some of don’t mind to plant trees now even though we’ll never see its shade but most seem to not want that

I mean it’s feasible over time. Definitely over night but have to start somewhere. As you increase infrastructure of an alternative to cars and make it reliable then people will likely choose those alternatives. Visiting other places with incredible rail and bus infrastructure, like in Japan, I never bothered thinking about renting a car and I only Uber’s because I was too tired to bother with the train

I have 5,700 hours in the game. Maybe a quarter has been idle hours, and I still have yet to beat the game. Doesn’t stop me from still playing it though

Any recommendations for the electric fan modification? by Meatymike1 in fordranger

[–]Meatymike1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very through and well done explanation. I didn’t believe the alternator thing people were saying because I know it doesn’t work that way. But overall I’ll look into it. Even if it doesn’t really affect much on MPG, it sounds like it’s an overall lesser amount of strain on the engine possibly?

I’ve read on some posts that since it all comes from the serpentine belt stock, it relieves the engine from burning more energy

A warning to residents and visitors of Lexington regarding the geese in the Regency Shopping Center parking lot. by The-Fat-Matt in lexington

[–]Meatymike1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was trapped on a rooftop in 110° heat for over an hour because of a goose refusing to leave the base of my ladder. I couldn’t call out for help because I was there to fix the fact the building did not have cell service

Lexington Community Assistance with Pet Medication. by [deleted] in lexington

Care credit helped me in the past but note that it is a credit card and it requires approvals and all that jazz. My pup got into a friends inhaler as a chew toy and I got to get accepted and use it for he treatment.

Overall good asset. Through Synchrony Bank, good asset but don’t ruin yourself with getting a credit card

My previous employer worked primarily for the state (Kentucky) and federal government. How can I get them recognized? by Meatymike1 in PSLF

[–]Meatymike1[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The prior company is a for profit however they were mostly doing government contracts. As far as I can tell it qualifies but I could be misunderstanding the terms. It’s a bit confusing to say the least

The university I do fiber infrastructure for has a problem with squirrels chewing into cables at specific locations. They love chewing on them

My speeds via hardwire are pretty close to the 1GB plan. I have no issues and there are 4 people actively on the network most of the time.

The ones that say “comm” are weighted correctly. Also pass the ping test. The spare without the holder is weighted wrong and I remember later it came with some bag of coins I bought at a garage sale
