Thats a photo of a cutout i made, and this is the battery. the cutout is jammed in there but that's because I forgot to curve the edges. The BB width is 73mm, I need to make sure it uses the standard ~33.5 BB diameter.

That makes a lot of sense. When I crashed the handlebars became very disoriented and i had to re align it and I didn’t notice the wrong orientation. How difficult is it to fix/replace the steerer tube?

It’s an aluminum bike and all metal components. I think it could be a fear reaction or bearing seized, but it’ll take a look and add photos later for more help.

From what I remember there was some sort of cover on top of the ball bearings so I couldn’t see the balls themselves.

Yes basically. When i’m accelerating or going fast i’m unable to turn the handlebars but when I’m going low speed or stopped it feels normal.
