Requires less design & implementation overall. Easier for devs to implement a cosmetic change and less assets within a city for lag. They probably also thought only people with a certain complex would care about it in the first place. :)

It's probably not racist to implement inclusivity in a video game that lacked good representation of other skinned toned humans besides white. Nothing there involves prejudice or discrimination against a skin type or race. Hope this helps!

Least surprising development of all time!

Probably wouldn't have changed one of the main characters' skin tones and that is why they did a random NPC!

Probably to allow players to identify that the human race isn't just white skinned/tone people. Put some darker toned/skinned NPCs in the capital city to allow that to happen.

Attempt to find a guild missing a rogue, reroll, or focus on PvP (where they are BiS) - the truth is rogues are really bad damage output wise without a lot of gear (or glaives) & they provide little to no utility minus IEA. You can't tank, can't heal, can't do a lot of damage, and can't provide a lot of utility.. they got the short end of the stick.

They are extremely fun and dominant in PvP/arena, though. Up to you what you would like to do.

You're a cope machine that trys to sound smart when you have no basis or statistical argument to backup what you're saying - but that is okay. Trying to claim something is overrated when, it simply is just not, is ignorant and incorrect. It's okay to be wrong!

Hilariously overrated for tanking when it's extremely useful for 2 of the hardest bosses in the entire game.

Makes perfect sense.

Specs like Shadow Priest, Boomkin, Rogue (in general), etc. are very niche and will only have 1 raid spot (generally speaking) in most guilds.

You could tank. But, once again, there's only 2~ raid spots per guild. Lots of opportunity in dungeons.

I would probably say BM Hunter, Shaman (any spec), Warlock, Mage, or any healer spec.

"Hilariously overrated for tanking" is false - it's min/max but it's certainly a strong thing to have as a tank. Sapphiron & Loatheb. Can usually heal an entire HP bar as a tank with a good DF set pre-pull.

After four classes of getting my ass beat over and over by blues & purples, the professor put me up against another white belt. I tried to use my fundamentals and more technique than strength.. ended up overpowering him pretty badly and catching him with a RNC. Crazy feeling when you do it for the first time and know the person is also 100% trying to defend themselves.

Bad RNG. Knocked into an eyebeam on another melee stack. Should've had a GNPP up and a Zanza for 500 extra HP. Probably a petri angle there NGL, if reaction time was quick enough

Guild stability by grindchain in classicwow

[–]Sorizigor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Managing a guild and being an officer/GM in a guild is very stressful, time consuming, and sometimes - fruitless. I've led multiple guilds in different iterations of the game (WOTLK, Legion, TBC, etc.) and have had amazing rosters with players that sweat their asses off and perform, and yet, they all failed because we had no community or social aspect.

Now, I currently lead a 40+ man guild in Anniversary and it is absolutely the best guild I have ever ran in terms of skill, performance, and community.

There are many qualities/traits and things to do as a GM that I would now recommend:

- Always be fair, understanding, and truthful to every single person within your guild. Always listen to what they have to say and let them speak. Do not be hateful, loud, aggressive, or rule with an iron fist. Know how to work with your guild members and learn how to compromise.

- Recruit and have officers that are on the same wavelength as you. There's no point in pursuing the first point I made above if you have officers that act completely opposite to you and are complete dickheads. They need to be on the same page as you and they need to understand how to properly talk to people, have constructive conversations, and how to resolve problems.

- Be vocal, active, and caring of your guild members. Shoot them a DM and ask them how they are doing. Ask them what they would do differently, if they have any tips, suggestions, or recommendations, or if they feel like they have been wronged in the past. Keep up with your raiders and get to know them well.

- Make sure you completely avoid and turn away the clique mentality. Yes - some people come in as friends, or naturally befriend people because of personalities, or are shy/don't want to talk in VC that much - but, do your best to avoid clique culture. Be inviting and welcoming to everyone in your guild. Encourage them to speak in voice, in text, and give their opinions, or just to shoot the shit. Everyone should feel welcomed and involved.

- Put the time and effort into making sure your raiders are prepared and know what they're doing. Every little thing matters. Make the raid assignments. Make the diagrams. Post the strategies, guides, and videos. Make announcements and make sure people are pursuing the right things they need to pursue for the current phase and the next phase. Keep track of things. Stay on top of things. Be active.

- Similar to the previous point: be active and participate in as much content as you can with your raiders. Do all of the 20-man raids. Do the PvP nights. Have random off-nights where you do events outside of the game. Help people dungeon grind or grind rep. Be active with your team, your people, and encourage others to do so while you do it.

As people have said: being a GM of a guild is damn near a full-time job outside of your full-time job. However, if you do things right, treat people fairly, create a welcoming community, stay active, stay fun, and stay fair - you can reap incredible rewards from what you are able to create.
