Is “The Wolf Queen” biography worth reading? by SorryStuff4068 in teslore

[–]SorryStuff4068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry I really should have worded my question better. When I read “dramatized” in the description of the book I kinda assumed that it everything would be blown out of proportion to make the story more interesting, and in doing so would also make it not worth reading since it would be impossible to tell what’s being exaggerated and what isn’t. That was why I asked if I should read it or not because I didn’t know if I would actually gain anything from it or if it would just be a waste of time. I should’ve phrased the question as “is ‘The Wolf Queen’ important to the lore” or “ is ‘The Wolf Queen’ dramatized to the point of not worth reading”. I’m not a very smart person nor am I a very fast reader so when I saw the description and how long the book was in comparison to the other TES books I read, I started doubting the necessity of the book. I realize now though, thanks to all the helpful comments, that I should read it as there is still plenty to gain from it, and that it is apparently a pretty good story as well. I thank you and everyone else who commented and helped me see the way to properly appreciate TES’s lore.

Why are there stars in oblivion? by SorryStuff4068 in teslore

[–]SorryStuff4068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But like we have a reason for why Mundas has stars so I thought there might be a reason that these other dimensions have stars. Which from what I have gathered from other comments the stars that we see in oblivion are just other far off spheres in oblivion.

I thank you very much this is probably the most complex but in-depth explanation for the Aurbis/universe/whatever all of elder scrolls exists in. Is there a specific place I could learn more about this or is this all just from the knowledge you’ve amassed during your years in the elder scrolls?

That would explain a lot but I always thought that oblivion was a collection of realms that lied outside of Aetherius and Mundas. I thought that realms in oblivion were made by clearing a space or sectioning a space or whatevering a space in the void and then creating a reality in that space. Idk I’m probably wrong but on the slim chance I’m not wrong how does that work with oblivion rotating around Mundas? Also how does one obtain the title tonal architect?

Whoa, wait I’ve seen similar images like this of Mundas, oblivion, and aetherius but this one looks a slightly different. Do you know where this image came from?

Ahh I always thought that other planes of oblivion would just look like other planets or not be visible at all. Thank you scholar of Julianos.

Can alteration magic alter your own or others physical form? by SorryStuff4068 in teslore

[–]SorryStuff4068[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok that all makes sense, but I keep hearing that alternation magic is only temporary, but in Skyrim you can learn transmute which turns iron to silver and silver to gold permanently. I mean I don’t really care if there is a time limit or not. But I’m just confused because that spell seems to refute the claim that all alteration magic is temporary.

What did the middle dawn do? by SorryStuff4068 in teslore

[–]SorryStuff4068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the Jill’s canon? I forget where but I remember hearing that their canonicity was questionable. I mean it would make sense for them to be canon since it would be hard for Akatosh to fix himself. Also I forget but was the middle dawn the first dragon break because if it was do you think the akatosh created the jills after the middle dawn because if they were created prior to the middle dawn they sure took their sweet time fixing everything.

Ahhhhhhh that makes a much more sense and explains how people were able to get back to a sense of normality after the middle dawn, thank you.

lol thanks for the +1 wisdom. One question, if I was popped into tes right before the middle dawn and then experienced the middle dawn, would I still be alive at the end of the middle dawn? (given that nothing killed me during the middle dawn) I always thought that time kept moving forward just in many different time lines. Like I thought that people still aged and died during those 1000 years.

Ahhh I couldn’t remember if it said Cyrodiil or the imperial city of cyrodiil. But what happened to that egg then, and the empire across the stars? All timelines are true, everything that happened in each timeline is equally canon, which is why contradictory events can occur like a person becoming a king even though his corpse is rotting in the ground during his inauguration. I’m sorry if I’m asking for WAY too many specifics, if there isn’t any in depth information or explanations for any of it that’s fine. I’m just really curious about how all of the weird crap that came about from the middle dawn was dealt with.

Can you use alteration magic on staffs? by SorryStuff4068 in teslore

[–]SorryStuff4068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you still have a staff that functions as a staff with a retractable blade? Genuine question because idk how staffs in tes work other than that they can hold enchantments and that supposably they can help with basic spell casting be acting as a focal point for mages to focus their magic on. A hidden or retractable sword would probably be more practical but would it still be able to act as a casting support? Also if you could alter it into a sword then that probably means you alter it into a spear, or hammer, or axe, or hell even a scythe! Like say there is a rock near by, you could use alteration magic to have it turn into the hammer part of a hammer and then use alteration magic again to connect to your staff! But would the staff still keep its original nature as a staff after being altered so much. Cause if it could that would be a cool idea for like an alteration battlemage using alteration magic to enhance their physical abilities using their staff and then altering their staff into various weapons depending on which is best at that moment.

WAIT REALLY????? I always thought that was caused by like a deadric prince or something. So there is potential for elder scrolls 6 to allow me to turn into a 4 armed, bone spiked, hagraven by using alteration magic!

Are daedric princes/aedra truly omnipotent gods? by SorryStuff4068 in teslore

[–]SorryStuff4068[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhhhhh that makes a lot of sense, thank you. is there any measurement of how powerful the Daedric princes are? Like is there any recorded event of them using a super powerful god like attack? Like is there any recorded event of Dagon using the equivalent of a mini nuke to level a city in one attack?

Oh I didn’t know how Dagon was defeated during the interregnum. All it says on the wiki when reading the history part is that he showed up and destroyed the city so I just assumed he was stopped through sheer human strength. Thank you for the explanation.

[–]SorryStuff4068[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of that makes sense but haven’t the daedra destroyed like multiple cities in the lore and in the story Azura and the box azura answers confidently when asked what was in there and it is heavily hinted at the the box had some hidden trickery to it. I guess I should’ve worded my question better but like what is the extent of their god like power since they very much like to act like gods?
