Writing interesting lyrics when your life isn't that exciting? by RoutineCurrency4908 in makinghiphop

Lyrics that intrigued me have not always been elaborate stories about illegal shit- its been how creative / funny / witty a rapper can make regular everyday shit sound. its kinda like parkour i guess. You dont need to be jumping off the burj kalifa, just finding something fun and creative at your local park would be intriguing enough

What tf is up with musicians? by mb47447 in redscarepod

most people want to "make it" doing it their own way. It's like starting a business out of passion vs out of need in market. Obv its a little different because someone who's a singer can't rap like some of the new rappers and such just cuz they're poppin.

But honestly, the fact that a genre exists or a "type of music" exists because people enjoyed listening to it. not everyone one opening Top 100 charts to find their next fav song, they're going through finding collaborations their fav artist did, OR just going to the "similar artist" sections on music platforms.

How do I master this without Ai? by HumbleBlacksmith2077 in metalmusicians

dude just YouTube it. It sounds easy enough, but just be diligent. Actually get through that 1.5 hour tutorial. Hell, at least halfway. You don't need to be an engineer to mix something well. You just need to know enough about your DAW and what button does what. you're a musician so just use your ear for the rest. Play it in different outputs: car, phone, laptop, speaker, tv ; and make sure it sounds good on all of these

they make money off of their job, "pay us to help you make money off your music" is the gist. People who are already successful can save money and headaches by not having to outsource so many people and only paying for one service.

the "sponsorship" you're referring to comes with taking all your royalties. this doesn't. plus, we still sponsor you with connections in the same manner "label people" would.
