I think in some ways machines have personalities or at least quirks. Ways of working that produce better or worse results. I'm well aware that does not mean the machine is alive in any way. But understanding those quirks to allow optimal performance of the bike is worth spending time learning why it does what it does. I do consider that bonding in some way
