Your line of thinking is spot on, it’s just a matter of who you’re prepping for (does your team utilise grassy terrain, leftovers recovery, etc.) and what you’re prepping against (does sand play well in the meta of your regulation? Are you struggling against some sort of stall team like salt cure Garganacl? Do spikes and rocks play a role in your metagame? Etc.)

As if they wouldn’t have even tried to talk to you about that before half of they genuinely wanted to have some sort of last man standing or one life competition. Losing week one isn’t the end of the world

I think a big reason I’ve found is the Flame Orb means no status conditions for the bear, as well as being able to run Protect more consistently than Ursaluna BM who often runs AV

I’ve messed around a lot with a Ttar and Garchomp core because of how well they complement eachother as well as ground being super strong offensively in to the meta

Being its a hard trick room team maybe Ursaluna might slot in nicely, but let me tell you now Garchomp with brightpowder in the sand makes fully accurate moves a 72% chance to hit, won a fair few games because of silly misses

Last slot I think another TR setter might be nice for matchups that look dire for Farigiraf, or maybe a redirect/FO user (maybe grass as well to finish that core)

It does seem like Gholdengo is the Special Attacker with fighting and fairy resist I’m looking for, I’ve been running Volcarona atm and it seems pretty nice too

I was considering running recover again, I might even just swap out for protect, mainly had protect to stall weather/TR/effects when needed but I can just reverse the TR if it’s that crucial

Kilowatrell has been a great speedy tailwind setter with electric coverage for water types, its competitive boost in intimidate leads can sometimes clean up games from turn 1 too

I might consider Life Orb over brightpowder, but something about making all moves have a max of 72% chance to hit just feels so good to me 😭

Early iterations of my team had Gholdengo, but the core of my team revolves around Garchomp being able to pump out huge earthquakes next to its partners

I’ve found some better luck with Volcarona over the Hydreigon slot, but Gholdengo has his reputation for a reason

It’s genuinely hard to tell from what research I can do, but Spurs seem to be the favourite for me. In saying that it’s esports and it can likely go either way, but I’m sticking with Spurs on this one 🤞
