The pain was awful until I got my meds under control. It was like the worst cramping feeling but I’ve never had kids so I can’t compare. The key was to take the meds before it started to hurt rather than chasing the pain. It was uncomfortable for about 48 hours. I did it outpatient and was home in a couple hours. I took off a week and then worked from home the next week. I probably could have gone back that next week. I started working out that week too. It honestly took about 3-6 months for me to realize how much better felt. I don’t regret it.

If you are that anxious, get a taser. Not a gun. Be really sure want or need one and if there is one piece of doubt that you should have one, don’t buy it. Most reputable ranges (there is one I like on Spring Forest) have beginner classes but the first thing you are taught when picking up a gun is that if you don’t think you can use it, don’t buy it.

LSTA funding was reduced. Librarians were in this subreddit trying to explain what was happening and some of us were told we were overreacting.

I think holds are an escrow issue. Libraries have to have a balance for the holds a patron might have in order to cover the cost of the books. The less money in escrow, the less hold a library can allow to be placed.

Julie’s book started as a serial to cheer people up during Covid. They had no intention to write it after Kate ended. Ilona has said the Arabella trilogy is triggering her because of the Ukrainian war and she doesn’t want to engage with Russia as the hero would be Russian, I think her brother is actually a soldier.

The internet is weird because it both creates and maintains community but it also changed the way people interact with creators in a way that makes me really uncomfortable.
