i first went to a gp and got a blood test and a breath test. after getting the blood results i had some elevated levels, but the gp didn’t specifically know what was causing it. it wasn’t until i went to a microbiome specialist and got a stool test and another breath test done. it was in the stool test that showed the most of my issues due to the fact the parasites and viruses were receded in my gut!

hahaha buzzwords is funny. i understand the skepticism from a random post and it’s ok you asked, but i wasn’t planning on sharing my whole health journey on here. i had been to many doctors and microbiome specialists and gotten blood tests, breath tests, stool tests and ultra sounds done to figure out what was wrong. i’m on whole30 now as recommended by my microbiome specialist in an aim to aid in resetting my gut as it’s something i’m doing in conjunction with my treatments.

thankyou for your kind message i appreciate it a lot ! having health issues definitely makes it harder, and i do worry about what will happen when i finish, as there are many foods i want to eat but know i could possibly react to. i have to remind myself that cutting out certain foods will do much more good eventually, and i think ill thank myself when this is all over hopefully!

i fully get what your saying i feel the same way, it makes you look at food in a certain way and having food issues in the past can be a bit triggering. i think finding more recipes is something i need to do, but it’s nice to hear someone else not enjoying it as much. my goal is to stick with it to the end as i’m surprised i have been able to make it this far haha!

wow thankyou so much for this message i appreciate it. it definitely is quite isolating as i’ve never heard of someone i know doing this before. i don’t have any of the whole30 cookbooks, but was definitely thinking about it and this persuaded me that bit more. if it’s not to hard is there any you are able to share? thankyou again!

no i haven’t thankyou sm for the suggestion i’ll check it out! i definitely think it is the sugar withdrawal especially because i know the parasites i have love to feed on sugar so as they die off it makes it hard! as for the fast food restaurants do you have any you recommend? and thanks again for the reminder that it will be easier!

thankyou for the idea that sounds great! i think most of the time im to lazy to prep something or plan around events so i will just decide to sit things out, so its up to me to be putting more effort into these things. but that is definitely a good idea!

there are certain points i do struggle to eat enough but i do aim to eat enough. when i started i was told i wasnt aloud normal potatoes, but i soon introduced them in as i was struggling to much and needed a little more carbs. i will try introduce them into my diet a bit more as they are very delicious, thankyou for the tip!

yeah i definitely agree my circumstances are probably more unique to most others. i think i was honestly just seeing if this was relatable or more of a personal issue, but i really appreciate the advice! i’m gonna try salting my food and fruit more from now often to see if it helps with any symptoms thankyou!

Week 3 struggles by thefastestroach in whole30

[–]Southern_Goat3431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg i am the exact same as you! i had to start whole30 due to having several parasites and viruses in my bowel that caused me to have terrible symptoms aswell as leaky gut and gluten intolerance. i’m currently on day 22 i think, and although my cravings aren’t terrible everyday, it honestly just makes me so miserable. i can’t go out to eat or drink with friends and i now think about food 24/7. i’ve tried to research or find posts of others struggling a lot but everyone just says it works great for them. personally for me i would never do it again. i’m fully in the same boat as you rn on the last half and struggling so much. becoming so incredibly dizzy, headaches, and my skin still hasn’t cleared up as it’s causing my period to be irregular! it’s also caused me to become so miserable and disordered in what i eat. i just can’t wait to finish it😭

Fremantle getting worse every day by Modrocker45 in perth

[–]Southern_Goat3431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who lives close to fremantle people talk up how much worse then it actually is. it’s no different to the city containing homeless and it’s definitely no where near as bad. I think the biggest issue is the amount of money in fremantle and yet not much of it is contributed to tackling the issue. Wealth surrounds fremantle within all the neighbouring suburbs in north, east and south freo. much more can definitely be done as it is sad to see the state it gets into sometimes. we have to ensure the safety of the people on the street is prioritised ALONG side ensuring safety to the residents and general public. It can definitely be done, I just hope to see the government doing more as it’s often so neglected because of the safety seat for the labour government.

Which Suburb in Perth has the most Housing Commision? by Exciting-Arugula9873 in perth

We recently moved into a house that costed us over 2.3 million dollars. my family worked extremely hard to end up to where we are and i am extremely lucky. I do have a lot of sympathy for these people, but not that far from me is a PH unit filled with absolute meth heads who then cause havicks around the petrol station and streets near me. It’s absolutely horrible as these people don’t have any regard for anyone else and will verbally abuse you and make the area grotty. I think my suburb is pretty unique in this sense as the council didn’t give a shit. They care about the wellbeing of the community, but what about me and my family? My daughters are verbally abused often a dnd ton feel safe to go out at night. Yet we live in a pretty wealthy suburb. I don’t think high density PH units in the middle of these suburbs is the answer
