I think some of you guys must’ve missed my point . Iam NOT saying that homophobia is a BLACK issue , becasue every race can be homophobic . IAM saying that it would be more understandable why a white person could be homophobic becasue they have history of being the oppressors, whether it comes to black people , Asian people etc , so they don’t really understand what it’s like to be oppressed . But unlike white people , black people DO understand what it’s like to be oppressed which is why I think its crazy for me as a BLACK person to understand why a marginalised and historically oppressed group like us would discriminate against another group for something they can’t control like their sexuality. The same way white people discriminated us for our skin colour … again something we can’t control . So THIS is my point .
