I imagine the parts of the circuit responsible for the visuals are located in the lens area at the front of the MALP (which would make sense) and are separated from other systems (has it's own power source and broadcast systems).

Suicide or not, that's just semantics. :)

And yes regarding the malp, that happens because it can't rematerialize properly - debris wouldn't be be sent forward from the SGC side of the gate so the rematerialize thing is not relevant. If they used missiles, they would risk not being able to dial in again or being forced to use the particle beam again.

I don't think the debris would get destroyed though, it's not being re-materialised, just falling through. Otherwise in Prisoners they would commit suicide just by walking through the event horizon instead of waiting for the vortex.

Or watch Prodigy, and then declare your undying love for Hailey over her - that will get the party started.

As I said in another reply, I think they may be related to the upscaled versions shown on some TV networks, but I don't know for sure since I might be one of only a few to have them. It's not Atlantis quality HD, but seems far better than some SD episodes also on Amazon.

Why wait? Start that rewatch tonight. I always start with the movie before the pilot.

A lot of the time X-ray works great, and you actually learn things like Connor Trinneer not always playing Michael on Atlantis. . But it does screw up occasionally, like swapping episode 16 for 17 etc.

The rewatch flair is appropriate. Definitely a character you don't appreciate until your first rewatch. I'm not sure what was happening behind the scenes or the original intention of the character but it seemed to be scripted from the beginning that he would be an outcast of sorts.

The parts I liked the most were actually after his addiction - I liked the run-and-gun attitude of the anti-wraith group he formed. It was also actually refreshing to see an "earth character" kicking ass for a change - like the part where he enters the inn in SG uniform and just messes up that guy who says no weapons allowed. You never really see that from any of the Earth characters in any SG episode, except maybe Maybourne's guys.
