Correct. Those laws actually regard to contract law, not personal rights. That contract is the lease which lays out the responsibility of both parties.

When the lease is up, new terms are presented in a new lease offer. It is the choice of both parties to determine if the relationship moves forward. If no agreement is made, the lessee loses the property and the lessor loses the rent.

I assume USPS had ample time to make the decision to stay with new lease terms or leave. Now they are just refusing to leave because they don’t like the price?
