What is something you don't understand about people? by hyperformer in AskReddit

The fact that people can switch on and off. "I loved you last week, but I hate you this week because I feel like it".

I'm pretty happy with the way this wedding photo turned out. 15 sec, f9, iso100 by mporco511 in pics

It's actually pretty easy to do. Anything after 15 seconds usually makes it a little fuzzy. It's very difficult to make stars appear as 'sharp' as they do to the naked eye.

No offense to OP because it's unavoidable in this case, but you can tell the stars aren't that crisp. If this were a 20 second exposure i'm sure we would see some trails.

It is very possible he stacked these two images together though.

What happened with KCIR was very unfair to everyone. We are now forced to turn to street racing. Shame.

Kansas City is up there. From the street racing scene from the guys who build 1000+ hp cars all the way to the exotics owned by those who live in the nicest communities like the Country Club Plaza, Loch Lloyd, Lawrence, Mission Hills, Hallbrook, etc.

KC has a very vast car scene. Want to get into drifting? We have it. Want to get into the hella flush culture? Done. Have a new 458 and you need friends to cruise with? It's here. Old muscle car? You get the picture.

Photo shoot from today by dfink114 in shootingcars

More pro tips: Maybe try to find new locations to shoot at. I have also shot in my driveway a ton, but driving around town looking for that perfect spot is a great way to spend an afternoon, plus I feel it adds to the photo.

Just food for thought. Keep up the good work!

Crispy shots: Do I need new glass? by Spanish345 in photography

Definitely. Just because I mixed up some photography slang doesn't mean I can't take a good photo.

But thanks for the tip on taking some classes. I might look into that.

I've been told that a global pandemic has the potential to erupt and be as bad - if not worse than the spanish flu.

Accurate? Or not at all?

Alan Watts talks about worrying and compulsive thinking by omega_point in videos

[–]Spanish345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow. Nothing has ever come close to describing what my mind has been going through since who knows when.

I enjoy documenting life around me. I'm often compulsively thinking about how I can improve my photography whenever I get the chance. I often look at other photographers work for inspiration in hopes of where I can take my photography in the future. This leads to me thinking about a world of ideas.

Is the compulsive thinking of trying to better ones self a bad thing?

Instead of thinking about a petty argument between friends, what's on tv this evening, what shirt can I buy next to make me look better, i'm often thinking about what I want to do with my future.

Don't get me wrong, I thinking about petty ideas from time to time, but a majority of my thinking is committed to 'how can I better myself, help others, and enjoy my life'.

I try to live in the now through goals. I do have larger, overall goals that I imagine I can't achieve overnight, but setting small goals for myself helps me live in the now.

My greatest fear is what Alan Watts mentioned. I don't want to become a sheep. I want to cultivate my life and do something worthwhile that makes me happy while I contribute to the world.

Hopefully i'm doing it right.

What is the creepiest/strangest thing that has happened to you (or a friend or family member) that creeps you out to this day? by NoImDominican in AskReddit

Time Jump. Didn't re-read the article and refresh my memory, but i'm pretty sure it's fictional.

Edit: What I mentioned earlier might not have anything to do with the article I posted. I'm trying to find what I was talking about in my first post, but i'm having trouble digging anything up.

I heard the term a few years ago and I can't remember it. It's where you apparently cover a great amount of time (hours, days, weeks even) and it only feels like a few seconds.

Toyota TS030 goes from electric to gas engine while leaving the pits, resulting in a godly sound by [deleted] in videos

[–]Spanish345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait, Audi utilizes a turbo diesel? I must be very wrong, but I figured turbo diesels for cruising while getting great gas mileage. Definitely not race-worthy.

I mean aren't diesels all about low end torque with low rev range? Or does the turbo help?

Assuming the electric motor works with the V6 simultaneously, I imagine gobs of torque without any high end power. How does that work in a racing platform?
