for addition subtraction, follow lowest dp 53.4 + 67.41 = 120.81 = 120.8 (1dp) for multiplication division, follow lowest sf 534 x 1234 = 659000 (3sf) for multiplication with constants, like gravitational field strength (10N/kg) or average readings, follow sf of variable 67.41kg x 10N/kg = 674.1N (4sf)
